Man... so true. When stationed in Germany we took many trips to the Netherlands ... all over the country; tulip farms, North Sea beaches and everywhere in between.

We had German plates on our car, and it was always very interesting to arrive at our hotel or sometimes a pension (Bed and breakfast), and the locals were always very polite but definitely standoffish...until we spoke.

My wife and I both have significant German (and Irish and English) ancestry, and we dressed liked the locals when we lived there...we looked like a typical German couple. But as soon as they heard our American accents they invariably and immediately broke into grins and would slap my back and hug my wife and kids. Usually while breaking out drinks and snacks to help us relax from the road trip. I absolutely loved going there as often as possible...beautiful country and beautiful people on the whole.

They haven’t forgotten... Nor should we.

It’s unbelievably horrifying to me that a significant percentage of our country is now in lock step (pun entirely intended) with what we knew as the Fascists of the early 20th century. I intellectually know how we got here... but man... How did we get here?

Better question: How did we allow it to get to this point?
I traveled to the Netherlands several times in the course of my work, and watched a soccer game with my Dutch colleagues. A Netherlands team was playing in Germany. The TV camera focused on a handmade sign being held up by someone in the crowd, and my Dutch friends laughed hysterically. I had to ask for a translation, and they told me it said "Hey Grandma, I found your bicycle." I still didn't see the humor, so they explained that when The Netherlands was liberated in WWII, the Germans stole bicycles to ride back to Germany, and it is brought up often in arguments with Germans at the beaches.

"fact" checked by USA today :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

apparently you dont see the irony in an admitted MARXIST owning 4 luxury homes.

also, what moron "fact checks" a fucking satire website???......go be autistic somewhere else you fucking mongoloid
While I agree with you on the Marxist comment. At least 3 of those house are not luxury homes. The one in Inglewood and South LA are just normal homes in bad neighborhoods. The one in Topanga Canyon she got for a good price as there are a lot more expensive homes in that area.

Oh FFS. Does it really matter what is called a "luxury" home?
Any home is luxurious to someone somewhere.
Regardless of neighborhood or price, if you have 4 homes, you shouldn't be running your mouth about how unfair your life is.

Unless everybody owns 4 homes now days..
I wouldn't know, I'm just a poor retired civil servant.

When I travelling abroad when I was younger, I would notice that locals would give me a bit of a stink eye or look down their nose at me. Until I started speaking with my aussie accent or told them I was from Australia, than they changed their tune and became all happy happy.
Speaking to a few of them, they initially thought I was a yank, simply being a white westerner.

Turns out not everybody thinks so highly of Americans.

Only people in countries Americans saved from the Nazis understand it. Even some of them have forgotten as their leftist teachers refuse to teach it.

They want to sneer because NONE of them (including you) have as much freedom as an American.
I walked outta my house today. Bought an AR. Aimpoint. Mags. Ammo.
No fed license.

And dont forget to bow to the queen.
