Inspired by the PROOF Research paint jobs they offer on their complete rifles. The AI distributor in Australia are also the Proof dealer and Cerakote applicator so it worked out well.
Our team guns all run Proof barrels, we think they shoot very well straight out of the box and I've had only good experiences with their quality and pre-fit ease of use in the AT, AXSA, AXMC and now AXSR.
Base coat, then stencil (10,000 dots!) then top colours. 4 in total I believe.

Nice AXSR , can anyone tell me the deal with the MK3/AXSR versions , I thought the AXSR was available only in the USA , and else where it was the MK3 ?

AXSR is retail sold through Accuracy International North America by Mile High & Euro Optic. Full key-slot rail as above. Imperial and metric bolts. American muzzle brakes (APA / Area419 etc. Some components are made in the UK.
AX MKIII will be from Accuracy International in the United Kingdom and their dealers. MKIII has some subtle changes, different forend rail with a mostly enclosed top half, different shaped stock and trigger guard etc. They haven't quite yet hit the retail floor yet. First time out with the AXSR and my 300 Norma reloads. Winds gusting 10-15, was able to get some good hits at a mile. First time mile shooter as well.
That’s a very nice setup and a even nicer location you have there!
It was black, it got blasted back to raw then painted from scratch. Lot of work involved to get it stripped down to parts.
17" 308 with 175gr Lapua Scenars and 178gr ELDX. Love this rifle.
Lil 600 yard range work tonight testing out @pfl338 bag rider. Thing is legit mad props I dig it.
Also @Precision Underground made a cover for my tbac 338 ultra SR. Fits perfect thanks homie.

Varget and federal 205m’s are making a fuss for me today. I throw the water bottle in to confuse the local members who have only known Bushnell, Leupold, and Simmons.
Stop being cheap and buy a new barrel already…
I got a brand new one sitting in the corner for a year.... Can't bring myself to put it on yet with the old girl still winning the gentlemens bets on the line haha

Popped it out to make it easier to put on the bag rider and snag a few pics before I shot from the prone.
Normally it's collapsed all the way when I shoot but is still really long for most people with Trex arms.
Just put a 3d printed bag rider on from @pfl338 and was just curious as to what the point of the original plastic piece there was? (photo attached) it seems a little small to be a bag rider, and it has a hole through it for what I assume is a monopod? Is it purely an adapter to use old monopods?

My AXSR showed up yesterday and was able to cobble together some loads to test. Only found some Berger 300gr hybrid tactical bullets and loading to mag length so I was hoping for the best. Looks like 86gr of H1000 is showing promise, I'm sure on the slow side tho.
Anyone know if the AT folder thumb hole conversion kits are being discontinued? Everywhere online is out of stock with no back order. I was looking at buying one here but want the thumbhole kit. Why would AI stop making these a long as the current AT is still being mfg?

@beenjammin AI across the pond is having an exceedingly difficult time obtaining certain components to manufacture parts. The gentleman who makes the AI pistol grip adapters has said he has had issues getting the AX panels from AI ever since the China Plague / Wuhan Flu happened
I know the AT-X is replacing the AT for the US market, but I don't know if production is being discontinued in the UK. Contact Sporting Services. They finally got me a folder coming across the pond.
I have been keeping an eye on them for about 6 months or so and I have yet to see some come in stock at euro or MH.
thanks for the info and update.. I hate to hear the ATX is replacing the AT. Ill certainly miss the original iconic thumbhole design that has evolved over the last 25 years but I certainly understand.

I remember him saying the AT LE will be kept around on the US side. My info was from Frank's podcast with them, but that was in January? I guess until someone in the know clarifies, just assume the standard AT (and therefore the thumbhole kits) will be available across the pond for a long while...after the supply lines are back to good health.

Spent the day out at Quantico with the 300 PRC. It's dialed in so I may change the barrel to the .260 to get some data. It was chip shot easy today, 1,000y, known distance, square range with no to light winds. I dialed in 6.7mils and was off to the races. Dead on with factory 225s. Also spent some time mentoring a guy shooting a 6.5 and let him shoot my steel.
A picture of me actually shooting. Had the 6.5 guy snap a shot since I don't really have any action shots.
Target from the first session with multiple shooters - 300 PRC is on, 6.5CM not so much.
Target from the second session, 300 PRC remains solid.

I was at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center scoping out the facilities for a massive contract we won providing a variety of training. They have a 1800M range and the Jordanian's know I shoot, so I was hoping for a 1800M shot with their sniper rifle of choice, the AI in 338LM, but time didn't permit, maybe next trip. KASOTC was an old quarry, but $250M later it's a superb training site.
Debriefing at the Sheraton's rooftop pool.
Visiting Salt, the original capitol of Jordan, founded in 300 BC. You have dinner on the cliffs and watch the sunset over the Jordan River, with Jerico, Israel right past the valley.
The food there was epic!

I spent a lot of time there over the years. Happy to see they are pumping some more $$$ in.
Good to hear Jordan finally bought a bunch of AIs. Their shooters are good people.
The 230gr ATips are appearing to run well so far in the 300PRC barrel. More load development now the ADG brass and expander mandrel have arrived.
ES and SD have both been pretty average with the once fired Hornady brass, will switch over and try a few other things.
Landed a first round hit at 1384m on a pretty small rock which is promising, to quickly validate the AB CDM, spot on but was .8 low at 1600ish meters so will look at CalMV and DSF down the track.
Overall the AXSR is a great rifle. The 300WM mags are a bit clunky with the PRC rounds at the moment when fully loaded, but I’m expecting them to settle down.
