THC effects reaction time and cognitive ability......do you want someone competing in any of the rifle competitions to be blazed out of their mind?

What about the driver of a bob sled?

Are we going to have different doping rules for every sport?

Why does pot DQ her?

It’s not increasing her performance, it’s decreasing it, if you can out run the others after smoking pot that means you’d have really outrun them clean.

Thought the point of this drug testing was to prevent folks from cheating with steroids and stuff like that.

I wanted to see a young woman who’s 5’1” do something amazing while representing the Country I love while people shit all over her style.

Well if she can run at 3000fps you have a point, but she can’t, and you don’t. She’s competing as a runner, not a shooter


She handicapped herself smoking weed, same with her crazy nails and all, I’m all for rules that make sense, but following rules that don’t make sense is almost worse than just not having any rules at all

Wasn’t really into watching the olympics before, and this type of BS doesn’t help earn my viewership.

well thats really the crux of the issue.

she knew the rules....she broke the rules....and now she claiming to be the victim.

and to boot, she has everyone coming out of the woodwork telling her she did nothing wrong, and that the Olympics are "rayyyyycist" for not letting her smoke weed.......0 personal responsibility.....always someone elses fault.

she doesnt have a right to be an olympian...if she wants to compete, she needs to follow the rules they set.....if she doesnt like it, she can make her own olympics.

Three months ago, a negligent cyclist, was traveling towards me, both of us on bicycles, on a very wide bike path/road. Completely unexpectatatly within ten feet of me, she turned directly in my path while looking down at something. It is sad when someone breaks the rules, even when that person or you may disagree with the rules. Athletes are held to a higher standard as they should be. Yes I may be slower than her, but my body is free of EPO even though it might make me a prospective champion in the national Senior Olympics. The rules are there because this is not only not legal, it may be destructive if abused.

Being sorry for breaking established rules does not make her right. Being faster than me does not make her breaking the rules right. It is her responsibility to know the rules, it is her responsibility to follow the rules, even if those rules are not something you or others don’t agree with.

It is said that one can apologize for a speaking a nasty word, but one can never remove that word from the mind of that person who was spoken too. One can apologize for breaking the rules, but to those who look up to her, the fact that she broke the rules, that she in some way cheated can never be erased from their thoughts.

(and yes, any form of pain killer can be used to cause a false recovery from extreme exertion.)
