Except the ‘base’ i.e. the fuel source, is the oil pan…so at the top

edit: no face book so I have the big pop up in the middle of the screen, but now that I look more closely, that looks too far back for the oil pan…brake line or transmission fluid maybe?

Could be a fuel line too, but I‘d think it’d go up a lot faster than that if fuel.

Hard to tell what they're doing, exactly but the original fire started on the floor, then spread to all the residue/lines/plastic on the car. So two bases, and he's hitting neither, with an extinguisher that isn't ideal. Doomed to fail.

It actually looks like it started from the one guy's hand...not sure what's going on there...maybe had a lit cigarette

What ignited it? It looks like the mech standing up had something in his hand that started the whole deal, can't tell what it was though.

Yes. And a CO2 fire extinguisher don't work very well with gasoline fires

I've been a Firefighter/Paramedic for 23 years. I've seen a whole lot of dead humans, and a whole lot of property destroyed. Missed meals, missed sleep, untold number of showers and shits interrupted.

But THAT video, I saw 30 seconds of, two years ago still bothers me. I really wish you hadn't brought it up.

I think that video is fake. There is a break early in the video, where the cup easily could have been switched.

I used to work SAR for the USCG and I’ve seen more dead and sometimes mangled bodies than I care to and I still won’t watch that video.
