Even the left is beginning to think its a good idea to parts way. I know a country divided cannot stand but we are already there. Neither side wants to live the way the other wants them to. I just laugh a little when people from areas with population densities under 50 people per square mile think their tax dollars are being miss spent. Collectively they don't contribute enough to maintain roads and service.

I don't want to see any state try and go. Every state has significant populations of Republicans and Democrats. It would lead to war. A war that China and Russia will benefit from the most.

The Balkanization of America is already under way and has been for years - we are all now so fragmented and divided (on so may issues) that reconciliation is impossible in my opinion. Like a married couple that just can't/won't deal with the other partner the only way to get on with Life and stop the anger and potential violence is to separate and get their own spaces.

The problem is that the folks I want divorced from live right next door or are in my own Family. Separating into 2 or more countries will require that a lot of people (maybe all of them) move to different geographic areas to concentrate/congregate with folks of their own perspective. Given the levels of hate and mistrust how is that ever going to happen?

Still waiting on someone with a viable Plan to tell me how we fix The Failed Republic. I suspect there is no possibility of "fixing" it at this point....not at all sure where we go from here now that I'm hitting the retirement age and pretty much set up to live on my Retirement Investment Fund. That said, in 2020 if California seceded it could become the worlds 5th largest economy - a $3.2 trillion gross state product (GSP) as of 2019.
