Yeah he was/is. When Michael Dell was buying up a mountain top in Westlake Hills to build his 80 acre compound, he bought a hilltop we natives called Bull Mtn. One property owner didn't want to sell, at least to Michael Dell, and Dell wanted that property.
He contacted Rick Perry and Perry made an offer to the people and they sold it to him. Perry in turn sold it to Dell at a jacked up price of course, Dell wrote it off as a campaign contribution and everyone went away happier.
Perry wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but made up for it in sleaziness.
