Hi All,

I just bought a 6.5 creed from DD in semi auto with 20inch barrell. My purpose is primarily night hunting as well as target shooting. Would love to have a set up which is light but can also reach out to 700+ yards when required, reliably. Magnification is not too important, I shoot 1500 yard on my atacr generally at max mag of 12x.

Flexible on budget but would like max bang for the buck. Thanks for your advise, I am new to hunting hence looking for advice.

Amended later: One thing I forgot to mention was that I would like to have a scope which can help reach out long distance but also allow use with NV and thermal clip ons.

Are you looking for "max bang for your buck" at the $400-$800 range? $1200-$2000 range? $2000+ range? Where are we at here?
When you say night hunting, are you running a clip-on, white light, green light, etc,....?
How much does you DD weigh, roughly speaking? Do you have a goal weight? That can be pretty subjective, especially depending on if you're still hunting or if you're walking and stalking.

Budget is not a limitation so I can do $2k plus if it is worth it … dd weighs 8.6 pounds. Goal is to add as little weight as possible without sacrificing functionality.

Our ZC420 atop a gas gun is a beautiful thing! Great eye box so it's easy to get behind. Optics are simply stellar. Tons of elevation adjustment to get you out to distance easily. And good reticle selections! Feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions, I'd love to talk with you about our options. Good luck!
