Huh? I'm not particularly religious, but I still take the kids to church on Sundays. I also serve as treasurer for a national Christian public charity and sit on the board for another. I have nothing against Christianity whatsoever.
We left the catholic church because they moved that son of a bitch to another post rather than dealing with him appropriately. I stopped going to church but still considered myself catholic until I visited the Vatican. There were homeless folks surrounding the Vatican walls begging tourists for spare change. About three feet into the first building there was a display case with not one, but two cake knives. I believe one was gold and the other platinum, but don't quote me on that. Both with inlaid precious stones. We spent about six hours wandering around, gawking at thousands of priceless artifacts. When we finally get to St. Peter's tomb, there's a velvet rope railing funneling traffic to a mahogany "offerte" box. What the...?
To each his own though. I had a bad experience that left a sour taste in my mouth. I don't know why I stirred the pot with that first post. If Catholicism does it for you then God bless, and peace be with you.
