Who said shooting over roads is dangerous?

This is not the only range of it’s kind in Switzerland. There are multiple others.

There is one well known US range where the trail goes underage bullet path of the 1k range. Granted you are about 100 feet below the firing point when you pass through it
We have a range here in WA. Where you shoot over a race track with grand stands and
a old west town made for cowboy action shooting…

My local club here in Chattanooga shoots over their own driveway for the 500yd range, but it is only available during match days and traffic is strictly controled. Still an interesting and creative set up to make the most of the property.

I'd feel more comfortable driving that road than I do visiting some of our public ranges in the US.
Girl I went to highschool with was from Switzerland. Her parents moved here when she was an infant. Her dad had told me that safety is part of their gun culture and he said it was a big change when he got here to the US where a lot of people are complete morons with their firearms.

Absolutely true. Culturally, the Swiss are quite different than the average American. In my opinion, mostly better. In terms of gun safety, there is no gray area and the rules apply equally to everyone without exception. It is ingrained in their society. In particular, it is quite rare to see any television or "entertainment" that features violence, particularly gun violence. That is what I really like about Swiss society.

I dont like the idea of shooting over,under, or through areas of traffic. I think the members here would destroy any one of us posting pictures of their own private range that had bullets flying over public traffic. Just because that range is in some other country we shouldnt give them a free pass on firearm safety. Those motorist or bicyclist or whoever uses that road should not be a victim of a malfunction of a shooter for any reason.
It seems that many are missing the point he made about the concrete wall that is some distance out there. Any projectile that won’t make it to the target area will hit that wall first. Squib, bad shot, whatever.
Not any more. Switzerland went full-on left following the rest of the EU.

Voters in Switzerland have backed a tightening of gun laws to conform with European Union regulations.
Almost 64% of voters in Sunday's referendum supported tougher restrictions on semi-automatic and automatic weapons, final results show.
Switzerland is not an EU member, but risked removal from the open-border Schengen Area if it had voted "no".
The rules called for:
- A ban on weapons capable of rapidly firing multiple rounds
- Automatic and semi-automatic weapons to either be banned or heavily restricted
- Each owner of such a weapon, and the weapon itself, to be known to police across Europe
- All essential weapon components to be clearly labelled and registered electronically

Been to a few public ranges where they rent guns. Seen some absolutely hairy stuff. I’d take my chance driving on the road if I were to pick between the two.
You guys, people drive in Chicago every day.
Still doesnt change human error or mechanical error in firearms. Things happen just as easily to swedes as they do to Americans or French.

Isn't that the place in Wenatchee? I've always liked the various trap and skeet clubs around here located 50 yards of the highway.
