Hunting Scope w 1" Tube

So I have a Sako 85 hunting rifle that has a Vortex PST G2 3-15. Because of the bolt/extractor design, the brass hits the bottom of the windage turret. Apparently this is a known issue and the best solution is a 1" tube with capped windage.

I know the Swaro Z5s fit the bill but anyone know any others? Not a huge fan of their reticles.

Trijicon accupoint 3-9 mildot, Swaro Z5 or the discontinued Vortex HD LH Razor 2-10 (or 3-15) they're 1in.

I loved the accupoint on my hunting rifle and the only reason I got rid of it was for a S&B klassik.

If you can find a nice used (or leftover new) Kahles Helia KX or KXi scope, that would be a great option. I've had one on my main deer rifle for about 10 years now. It's been phenomenal. The glass is absolutely top-tier. Honesty, I sold Swaros and Kahles side-by-side at the gun store, and looked through them everyday... The Swaro is nice, but I prefer the Kahles.

Like fuhQ said the old Kahles Helia are great. Swarovski Z3 is another good scope.

I have this scope on my lightweight 6.5 Howa. It’s a one inch tube with a floating dot and made in Japan. I only have about 15 rounds down the pipe with this setup. So far I really like it.

Any chance that you can go up size on ring height. I was having issues with a razor gen ii on my tikka varmint and I went up a size on the rings and haven't had issues since.

Probably not. The brass is ejected at like 60deg. It hits the tube side of the turret so moving up a little bit wont do much. Also, not much flexibility on Sakos because you have to use their Optilok rings (dovetailed mounts)

I used to see them on eBay a good bit, but they might all be sitting in rich guys' rifle cabinets. LOL

I'll look around and see if I can find one.

@mbeavers1 Hey man, I found a used one... Pretty much the same exact scope I have... Even the same 4D-Dot reticle (BDC).

It says 10 folks are watching it right now, so... If it's what you want, I'd jump on it. I can't find any anywhere else. LOL
