I heard a rumor hodgdon is shutting down production until January due to a lack of raw material. Can anybody confirm this?

I guess its mainly distribution they have shut down as of last Thursday until Mid January. They have no supplies coming in from Australia. They don't manufacture much here in the USA. All the boats are stuck offshore California. So, just like Christmas toys, there will be none until Q1...

...if it wasn't Hodgdon putting that info out, then I wouldn't put much faith in the accuracy of the claims

...ever hear of the cliché "single point of failure" ? The last shortage was a learning opportunity for many, that explored multiple powders, primers, brass, bullets, etc. for their reloading purposes and identified the good, the bad and the ugly so to speak. The other cliché "learn from history or repeat the same mistake" is applicable too....
