Man you two really made this thread suck. Good on arken for something cool for the people who are happy to buy a $550 Chinese scope.

They are different, turrets are built different. Glass coatings are different. So by features some of these seem very similar to the Vortex options. Almost like twins. Anyone directly compared the DBT, Venom, and SE with the these? I’m not sure what going prices are in the US so not sure how the $$ compares.
They are not similar at all, you can find fault with this guys videos, but here he directly compares the 6-24 Arken against the Venom.Arken delivery good scopes with affordable pricing, made in China is probably one of the requirement unless you can find a US made optic at similar price and function. Not sure if Arken sourcing US factory can bring you the same quality and pricing, just face it.

I do not know how accurate the depiction of the image quality is, but I did have a guy in my squad running a venom at a match a couple months ago. He was NOT pleased with the optics when trying to make shots at 1000.
Please read what I wrote.Any one who is a “affiliate” for any company is biased. If they weren’t they would no longer be affiliated with the company. I can purposely put my one of my scopes out of optical center and put another one in the optical center and change perception really fast.
That’s the only thing that gets me with this company, is some of the people they let represent them. Some of the guys can be pretty shill and shallow. He’s not the only one… It’s annoying when you get a chance to compare things yourself and it’s not even close to what they say, it’s always biased towards the one they’re selling. You look at any other review on the internet and the results mirror mine when guys doing the review bought both scopes with their own money and have no skin in the game.
Hopefully Arken can get supply and gets away from these social media personalities brokering these scopes.
Now that they are popular they should get them in every small town gun shop across the country and let the brick and mortar guys sell them.
I did, I guess I shouldn’t have tagged your post in my reply. Please read what I wrote.
No problem, I agree that being an affiliate will, at the very least, raise suspicions of bias.I did, I guess I shouldn’t have tagged your post in my reply.
I was just putting my opinion out there on the topic you shared. Not a jab at you. I understood your reply.

I'm thinking that much of this has to do with individual scopes, as there is likely variations from one scope to another, moreso than one would expect from a higher tiered optic.
For example, in this video, the reviewer found the opposite, where the venom had a better sight picture:
The EP4 4-16 is pretty close to my DMR3 and 1/3 the price retail. The DMR3 tunnels below 5.5ish also.Whenever I get mine I'll compare it to an Elite Tac dmr2 3.5-21. I paid about $670 for the Bushy new from Midway and they're selling this for $550 and everyone says how it hits above the price range.

I already started an Arken review thread...Months ago... It's near the bottom of the first page now. But the EP5 won't be shipping for a few weeks, so nobody has one in-hand yet.I wish everyone would quit bitching and post a review of the scope.
But the strike eagle is a step up from the venom. He is a well-known Vortex affiliate and fanboy. I don't trust any of his reviews or videos.
I have both Vortex and Arken. Quality seems on-par for each. And through my eyes, the Strike Eagle 5-25x56 glass is equal to the SH4. Everyone's eyes are different. There's guys shooting both scopes at 2,500 yards, so I'd say neither is junk. LOL
True, and I feel the SE is on-par with the SH4, so that means there is no way the Venom is beating an SH4, EP4 or EP5... Just saying...But the strike eagle is a step up from the venom.
I checked out a strike eagle, my low expectations were met and slightly exceeded.
Not enough to buy one, I don't fancy the zero stop and Vortex Chinese scopes do NOT have a reputation for long life.
You're saying the Arken has no tunnel effect? I have not noticed the tunnel effect on my dmr2 however I am very familiar with tunneling. I personally hate it, even though I know in reality it's not that big of a deal all things being equal. The EP4 4-16 is pretty close to my DMR3 and 1/3 the price retail. The DMR3 tunnels below 5.5ish also.
I don’t have it in front of me at the moment. I don’t believe it does but don’t want to say definitively. DMR3 definitely. You're saying the Arken has no tunnel effect? My CC shows as PayPal Arken, don't know what happened in your purchase???In for one @450 lets see if it sucks or not
My m5 is only 17 pounds so this will help me put some weight in it vs the fixed 10 that it has now
Edit*
Merchant shows up as marriage counseling on my credit card account so 5 min in and im already dealing with bullshit
Yeah, then mine designates merchant category right beside it for cash back.My CC shows as PayPal Arken, don't know what happened in your purchase???
He is a shill ? What do you call the one eyed scope reviewer ??? All he does is shill for cheap scopes, never seen him give a bad review other than to bash Vortex and if they gave him anything, he would claim Vortex is the best. In your other thread who has 25% of the posts ? I thought you and cyclops might be the same person.True, and I feel the SE is on-par with the SH4, so that means there is no way the Venom is beating an SH4, EP4 or EP5... Just saying...
You gotta read between the lines with these shills. Go read the comments section on that video. His Vortex bias REALLY shows through. Go watch a few more of his videos and it will all make sense why he thinks the Venom is better.![]()
Cyclops Joe is a shill, too. I don't watch his videos. I've only watched one, and it was pretty damn bad. And I've gotten to where I don't hardly watch any of Rex's videos anymore either. I unsubbed from Demo Ranch because it started getting really stupid about 3-4 years ago when he stopped doing any vet work, and just started making house-renovation videos with with $500K a month he nets from YT videos. I fast-forward through a bunch of MAC's videos to get to the actual informative parts, Hickock45 is a Fudd, stopped watching his stuff about 4 years ago when he was pro-bumpstock ban... Trust me, when things get "shilly" I stop enjoying them and stop participating in their algorithm boosts. He is a shill ? What do you call the one eyed scope reviewer ??? Looking forward to your thoughts. The only problem I have is it's literally so hard to just find an honest review that compares this scope to other "higher end" scopes that shills keep comparing it too.
When these moron shills compare these Arkens to Vortex Strike Eagles they selectively say the MSRP for a Strike Eagle is somehow $1000 (which isn't even true) or that the glass is better than a PST gen1 which means it's better than a PST gen2 (obviously not true either since the PST uses different glass between generations). These are just two examples I've seen spouted off by the same shills and when they get called out for it they just delete the thread.
The fact these morons pick and choose information to bias their own decision or to blatantly shill is really disappointing. Like I said though I'll compare it to a Bushy Forge (Korean), Bushy DMR2 (Japanese), Nikon (phillipino). If what these astroturfers say is true it should easily beat all three.

x2!Looking forward to your thoughts.
Because I’d say least 50% of Vortex and Bushnells money goes to China.
Probably a little more from Bushnell, because I don’t think they make anything in the Philippines not sure though.
Vortex is China!
Bushnell is China!
Wow that's interesting you found the strike eagle better than the dmr2! Thanks for the feedback though!I’ve compared the sh4 4-16 to,
DMR2
Strike eagle 5-25
Ep4 4-16
Just in glass not mechanics.
The sh4 came in last.
I’d say
SE
DMR2
Ep4
Sh4
x2!
It just pops colors better. Images were more vibrant.Wow that's interesting you found the strike eagle better than the dmr2! Thanks for the feedback though!
There’s plenty of reviews in these various posts. Like this one. Mine included against DMR3.I’ve compared the sh4 4-16 to,

It’s $450 you’ll get back, if not more, when the code expires. Just buy one and look for yourself if deducting from all the comments is too time consuming…which could probably have been done before typing all that....all the bickering in the various threads gets tiresome. If looking for a scope then apply some realistic and responsible thought into it, i.e.,
1. what is your TRUE budget allowance, not some "save forever and maybe I MIGHT afford one IF the latest & greatest hasn't supplanted it".
2. what are the features needed AND does my budget support or allow for a product carrying those features and will I ever use those features? Usage matters, but ACTUAL usage on a CONTINUING basis should be the criteria.
3. Video reviews are to be taken with a grain of salt, the value in them is the demonstration of the actual workings of the features, acknowledging that presented results can be manipulated by purpose or ignorance. One might claim/show blurry but another claims/shows clarity...it could be purposely or ignorantly presented by the reviewer due their recording equipment or lack of knowledge how to use the recording equipment or scopes features. The key is if the scope manufacturer claims their product has featureX, did the video review show a featureX present and functioning?
4. Comparisons to scopeX can be misleading, especially if they are of 2 different classes or "tiers", the old "apples to oranges" dilemma. Different brands will have similar features, but not the exact same features making a "comparison" meaningless. A good example is 3-18x -vs- 4-14x, etc. Comparisons are marketing tools, reviews and analysis should be based on the individual products merits alone. If the manufacturer claims the product has X amount of elevation/windage/magnification, did the review show it had that amount and could utilize/access the feature?

As are Vortex RazorsBushy Elite are made in Japan
Tunneling is a big deal IMHO.You're saying the Arken has no tunnel effect? I have not noticed the tunnel effect on my dmr2 however I am very familiar with tunneling. I personally hate it, even though I know in reality it's not that big of a deal all things being equal.
It’s really a matter of whether you actually use the bottom end of magnification IMO. And the fact that some people just can get over it’s there. It’ll bug them to death it seems. Kinda like some reticles. I rarely go below 6-8x unless hunting.Tunneling is a big deal IMHO.
Personally, I don't reduce magnification to decrease the observable size of objects in the FOV, I decrease magnification to increase (widen) the FOV for target aquisition or moving targets.
Selling a scope where the FOV remains constant across a range at the lower end of the magnification range is a way to make the specs look better without providing any benefit to the shooter. The DMR looks better on paper with its 6x erector but it's closer to a 4x erector (21/5.5).
Shit! You should have a frequent buyer card. You’re bout due for a free one.I have a real dilemma. I want to try out an EP5, like bad, but I've accumulated 5 SH-4 scopes since June along with starting reloading and the holidays, so my fun money budget is wiped out. Throw it on the CC and resell an SH-4 after it arrives or just wait it out until next year and potentially pay more for the EP5 and the possibility of a longer wait than 2-4 weeks. Damn.
I'm fixing to the put an EP5 in the cart before the $100 off goes away, because it will be more expensive (full price) after 12/31/21...I have a real dilemma.
