    Vehicle hail damage question

    My truck got beat up a fair bit Saturday morning by up to golfball size hail in southern Indiana, gonna take it to a PDR guy Friday but he told me he's seen a number of vehicles that will require an insurance claim.

    The NTSB seems to think so, based on their probable cause. Yeah CPT appeared to be startled and sitting on his hands and the FO had a history of being weak, but somatogravic illusions are very real.

    Two single egine pistons (Cessna 172 and a Lancair 360) hit each other at an uncontrolled airport. In the grand scheme of things, this isn't exactly unprecedented.

    I don't know the update rate of ground-based radar, also don't know what altimeter setting the Blackhawk had set. I do know the NTSB said the FDR of the CRJ700 showed impact at 325' AGL, +/- 25'.

    Not a military helo pilot, but friends who are say for a commissioned Army officer who had a non-flying role for a few years, her hours are ballpark if on the lower side of ballpark. Warrants fly a *lot* more than commissioneds.
