    25x47 Lapua load data

I didn’t mean to make it sound like they feel exactly the same, I mean 105gr bullet and 30 ish grains of powder compared to 135 and 38gr’s but it feels much more similar to my bra then it does to my creed. The 25 creed for some reason was very snappy, worse then my buddies 6.5 and worse then my 260.

    25x47 Lapua load data

Oh i definitely agree at some point pressures and impulse is going change and that goes out the window but I ran mine from 2650-2920fps and it was much much softer/smoother then my 25 creed at 2880. I’m running closer too 2780-2820 as that’s where it’s shooting and at that speed it’s barely more...

    25x47 Lapua load data

I also find the recoil to be extremely smooth and soft shooting. Almost strange how the recoil impulse is. I also shoot 20’s, 22’s, 6br, bra, creed, 25 creed, 260, 6.5, 7’s and 30’s. I was anticipating it to feel more like the 25 creed/6.5 creed but it’s much nicer

No for me they’ve been pretty darn good!

Terminus Zeus quick change action question?

Another reason I like the quick change feature isn’t just for the fact of changing calibers, I like deep cleaning after raining days, muddy matches, super dusty or dirty range days. It’s nice to pull the barrel to clean the lug area of the action. Makes cleaning much easier. I don’t change...

    25x47 Lapua

I’ve also been really enjoying this cartridge. Terminus Zeus 27” crb 1:7.5 twist Lapua brass Br4’s 38.9gr rl16 at 2780fps, 35.9gr of varget at 2775fps I’ve tested 3 diffeeent powders, 2 different bullets and my buddy tested a 4th powder and everything seemed to show a node between...

Custom rifle or take the money?

Thank you. This is a really great shooting rifle. I’ve had 4 different 20 cals and this one is just a hammer. I started with a Remington sps stainless 204, then a Remington 700 vssf II in 204, then got a semi custom highly botched up 20 tactical for a steal which I ran for a little learning the...

Custom rifle or take the money?

I’ve killed 12 yotes now if I recall with a 20 cal and never had one get away and only 2 runners. One made it 15 yards and 1 made it 60 yards but was a bit of an ugly kill. Both died in the field. My buddies hunt with 223 and while a proper bullet it’s plenty and works phenomenal but there is so...

Custom rifle or take the money?

100% take the rifle. Too me the 1500 isn’t equivalent to the semi custom build in a caliber of choice. For 350-400 and in I love a 20 cal. For factory ammo it would be the 204 ruger, but if your reloading I would consider a 20 tactical, 20 practical (20-223), or 20-223ai. If you want to step...

    300 Norma Mag

If you already have improved dies, brass why get a straight? I haven’t shot the 245’s but I ran the 230’s up to 3150 with rl33 and currently shoot the 230’s comfortable at 3000-3050fps woth n570. Could probably get 3100-3120 out of it if wanted

Gunsmithing What action to build custom 223 on?

I would go 7.5 twist personally and build it off of a falkor mainly because I don’t have one lol. My 223 is an 8 twists and shoots 80’s excellent, built on a 223. My main varmint rifle is built on a ks sa3R action, and my secondary is built on a lone peak.

    Tripod Suggestions

I run 3 different fat boys and they are amazing. I had a leofoto and an innorel prior and the Fatboy are awesome. From hunting, spotting and prs they are just so stable

    PRS bino choice for 2025

I got to play with some Zeiss 15x last season at a match and the glass was awesome (no reticle). The swaro nl pure glass is outstanding, but never played with the slc. Apex summit pro 2 15’s with reticle are really good glass with reticle as well.

Weigh in on my next coyote rifle build

I believe I’m much over pressure compared to what most shoot at, but I have 2 barrels that my load is safe in and doesn’t show any signs of pressure on primer and brass so that’s where I shoot it. I would expect 3800-3850 for most. As far as sizing goes I just use a 20 tac full length bushing...
