    Any F1 racing fans?

I hope they keep swapping wins all the way through the season. Let's get back to the seasons like we had in the 80s, where we came to the last race with several drivers still in with a shout for the title. THAT would be fun!!

There is a follow-up book, or maybe you would call it a companion, called "The Rescue of BAT-21" which is really excellent. It goes deeper into the entire rescue operation and all the units that were involved. Well worth the read.

I totally agree on this. I feel that, on balance, Sainz is the better driver than LeClerc. I think they made the wrong choice there. I also think the Hamilton is enough past his prime that he won't set the world on fire at Ferrari. This makes me smile!!

Just finished this one from Kurt Schlichter. It is fiction, but it is based on some current and very recent real events. It does get a little far fetched in a couple of spots, but for the most part is a believable portrayal of possible events. Not a bad read.

WOOHOO! So happy for Lando, and so glad that McLaren is finally back on top. Hopefully this is an indicator of more good things to come!!

Sorry, can't really help you there. I read mostly "operator" books, like Mitch Rapp, Pike Logan, Scot Harvath, Jesse McDermott, and similar series. Don't really read much "detective" stuff. Hopefully someone else here on the forum can help you with that.

I have read all the Jack Reacher books to date. The stories are compelling, but I am not that crazy about Mr. Child's writing style. He is from the UK, so while Reacher is as American as he can be, sometimes his phraseology doesn't quite come across. Plus, the writing is quite "choppy". Too...

I have never been a fan of Ferrari, and I am not a fan of Lewis, so this is going to work out great for me!! :)

Update: I finished "Overlord" and it just kept getting better right to the end. If you like the Kelly Turnbull series, don't miss this one.

I am about halfway through Kurt Schlichter's new Kelly Turnbull book, "Overlord". It is just as good as the previous books. It is scary how close we are to the "alternate reality" he conveys in these books.

I would LOVE to attend Spa before I die. That's always been my favorite track on the F1 circuit. Maybe someday....

To the Limit is darned good. I read it years ago. Might go back and read it again!

Today being the 30th anniversary of the disastrous end of the Branch Davidian siege at Waco, I thought I'd mention these two books that have recently been released on the subject. I've just finished reading both, and found them to be very informative and, for the most part, well done. The best...

Just finished the newest installment in Kurt Schlichter's "Kelly Turnbull" series, titled "Inferno". It's just as good as the previous books. I couldn't put it down. Good stuff!

    Any F1 racing fans?

Many drivers over the years have compared Road America with Spa, with great elevation change, a variety of corners, and a couple of decent straights for setting up passes. I would LOVE to see the current crop of F1 cars run at Road America. Road Atlanta is pretty nice too, with many of the...
