    I'm thinking of rebarrleing my A-Bolt II from 300wm to 458wm. What info do you guys have on the job. I know the A-Bolt II's barrel is lock tited on, so will heating with a heat gun suffice as far as removal. Any info will be helpful. Thanks

    Re: Best Budget Action Thanks guys, got a savage 110 to do one of my projects. I also have an A-bolt that I may rebarrel, any info on them. The school says they haven't had many people do A-Bolts, but from my research as long as you heat it to remove the barrel so the lock tite doesn't strip...

    I'm in gunsmithing school and i'm looking for an action for one of my final projects. I've already build a 30-06 on a mauser action, so I don't want another mauser. I can't afford a $1000 action, so what is a resonable priced action for my 308 for varmiting.

    Re: 1911 restore cerakote/duracoat I painted my 1911 dark brown with duracoat and was pleased with the results, but I've heard that cerakote is a better finish. If your going with cost affective and easy duracoat is nice. I plan on trying out cerakote soon.

    Re: .223 on deer with 55 gr Hornady red tip bullets I only asked because I've heard of poor effects on deer with 223, but I assume that if you use the right grain bullet and place your shot well then it will get the job done. Thanks for the info.
