What a scam....... I ordered some ammo from them, they split it into
2 orders than charged me 2 shipping charges!! But that wasnt all
Of it......they have their own bogus " shipping insurance " charge they add onto every order, website is rigged to add it at the end no matter how you try to delete it. Never again.
When I complained about all this BS, they simply told me to buy ammo else where.......
So you have been warned. Redditt is LOADED with same complaints from DOZENS of others.
Small time con artists that should be avoided

I was looking to buy some 124gr 9mm hp awhile back and looked at there're site ,prices weren't too bad but shipping was outrageous, so no go for me ,and after reading this am double glad I passed.ended up buying 1k rounds of American sniper 124 jhp from battle Hawke, big mistake there too ammo is shit ,won't chamber half the time and primers are duds about 1 in 10 , junk and battle Hawke says no refunds , last time they get any of .y money.

Since you are a Northern Maine Guide, they probably just considered it payback for what 20th Maine under Joshua Lawrence Chamberlin did to the 15th and 47th Alabama on Little Roundtop at Gettysburg.

Them Southern boys have a long memory when it comes to us Yankees!

yeah f them. they're always the low price on ammoseek but then you go to checkout and massive shipping charges. i always just scroll down to whomever has free ship because then you're getting the all-in price.

I’ve no dog in this fight, but an FYI would be that many places have limits on how much ammo they can ship per package. In some cases splitting it up is required and not optional.
That said,
there are definitely some scum bag sellers out there.

I understand, but if you saw the bogus charge and continued to buy the ammo anyway, why are you complaining? You saw the charge, tried to delete it, it wouldn't delete, but you apparently bought the ammo anyway and are complaining about the charge? I would not have bought from them if the charge on my order was excessive. If it was added after the fact, I'd dispute it with the credit card company.

I've bought ammo from all sorts of online shops, some good (rarely) and lots bad.
I'll stick with SGAmmo, they might not have the very best prices, but they are fair, and if you buy enough (I think it's $200+) shipping is free.
If it shows in stock it is.....and you'll get it in 2-3 days, always.

Yep. UPS ammo package can only weigh 50lbs or something like that.

SGammo & Palmetto State Armory. Pretty much.

Plus check ammoseek every once in a while AND see where companies I would buy from land. I compare everything to SGammo too.

Used to do Target Sports a bit pre-plandemic blight, however dropped the membership when no one had inventory.

Let me put in a good word for MidSouth Shooters Supply down in Clarksville. I buy whenever I can from those guys. They are Johnny on the spot with letting you know when things are in stock. Last time I went there in person they broke down a pallet that just came int to get me some powder that I had backordered.

And nice guys and gals… every one of them who know their stuff.

Want to deal with a “class” company… they are hard to beat!!! Like Mile High and EuroOptic… and some others. The top of the industry!!!

Yup. I go broader for components vs when buying manufactured Ammo:

Midsouth, Powder Valley, American Reloading, Rocky Mountain Reloading, Norma, Midway, Natchez, North East Reloading, DGbullets, Arm or Ally (from back when they were Monmouth) etc etc.

Price dependent & depending on hazmat (if applicable) /shipping deals.

Plus local.

SDA plays the Ammoseek game. Unless you know how to really use Ammoseek’s more advanced search to weed out the Rapscallions Of Unusual Shipping (ROUS’s) you just see the price per round and a silly colored shipping scale icon.

Some, like Southern Defense, are particularly loathesome scum that should be called out and reported to AS by multiple parties. Shut them down.
