Yesterday I completed my first, live fire training course with All Safe Defense. I found the course very helpful, conducted with the precision of a Swiss watch with complete focus on safety. It’s clear they have been doing this for quite a while. The staff was perfect, taking the time to answer questions, providing tips to improve timed drills and at no time “barked” at trainees like some other places do. They maintained order and kept everyone’s muzzle pointed in the right direction. While there were some challenges that I found difficult (holding 12ga shotgun shells between the first and pinky fingers for reloading while moving) I saw the benefits of every drill. Our class had it all…amateurs who never fired a shotgun before to highly trained combat soldiers who zipped through the timed drills with enviable efficiency, accuracy, and speed. This really helped us to appreciate the value of the training and the potential we all have with both live fire and at-home practice with dummy shells.

Perhaps the most surprising revelation was the tone and tenor of the course. It wasn’t “military” (as I expected) at all. The course was relaxed, enjoyable and because of the kind and understanding nature of the All Safe Defense coaches…everyone in the class was supportive and encouraging as well. The time just flew by! TJ was especially patient and replied to all my emails in the weeks before the course (I sent way too many) and having been trained elsewhere…recognized the superior attention to detail he exhibited. TJ sets the customer care bar so high, other self defense trainers need to charter a plane just to see it. If you seek quality training that’s fun…this is your choice. All Safe Defense is unique in that all the students were smiling throughout the course. No “drill Sergeant mentality” here. Take one class…you’ll be back.

I resent that comment. I'm no shill, just a satisfied consumer who is sharing a well-earned review by a quality firearm training company in So. Calif. This state makes it difficult for such businesses, burdening them with increasing costs and restrictions. Many facilities dropped live fire shotgun training here completely. I have no interest in All Safe Defense other than that as a happy customer who appreciates pro-2A businesses. If I in any way violated forum policy...please delete this thread. Doc, you're living up to your stated status.

Get the fuck out of here, read your shit, SHILL is exactly what comes to mind.

They really have you fingering shells while moving... sounds like they pulled their tactics straight from Hollywood.

And "the staff was perfect... kind and understanding... supportive and encouraging" ...

This reads exactly like something you sat and put together for 4hrs. Hey, thanks for the picture of a hand and a shotgun shell, didn't know what either looked like before that picture came into my life.

"TJ sets the customer care bar so high, other self defense trainers need to charter a plane just to see it."

GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE WITH THAT

Some of you guys need therapy...all worked up over my C&P of a Yelp review. Strive for balance, you are too easily driven to attack mode.

have you worked in concrete?

How much can you bench?

To understand me you need only understand two things.
1. I work over 100hrs a week running 4 businesses. My free time is precious, I don't waste it.
2. I do not allow tiny points of light on my monitor to adversely impact me, I simply click on your screen name, scroll down and tap IGNORE. Poof...you are now nothingness. You're probably used to that.

I call bullshit. 100 hrs a week?
Uber eats, door dash and what else? Domino's?

Does one of those businesses have anything to do with concrete?

No. One is a healthcare publication, one is a contract catering service for people with special dietary needs (like people in rehab), one is a grab & go fresh meal company (sells to distributors, Amazon hubs, military bases, etc)...and one is a company that sells and manages franchises of the catering business. If I can save 30 minutes by declining a lunch invitation, that's an additional half hour of sleep. My wife & I have eyes so baggy they could hold a ten day rain. We're in our mid 60s and outwork employees 20, 30 & 40 years younger. When we are not working we're involved with groups that support veterans like Wounded Warriors, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, Veterans Sportsman Alliance, Till Vahalla Project and Patriot Guard Riders. All the best people I know are from military families.

I didn't click IGNORE on you cuz you have done 18+hr days for extended periods of time and probably did some of those in my backyard at Camp Pendleton. BOOTS get a lot of respect from folks in San Clemente. Still pissed at Biden for the stupid Afghan withdrawal. Were you a member of PSC?

Unless you have a 1000yard shotgun what are you doing posting on SNIPERSHYDE>
and in the BearPit no less.
Until you have cred, expect this type of treatment.
I suggest posting some political stuff, or news media articles, and maybe even pics of your wife.
Didn't do your due diligence, did you?
:p

Bowkills. You fergot Bow Kills.

Yer welcome........
What is your obsession with concrete & deadlifting? Honestly, I don't get it. And yeah, I have plenty of bow kills but this isn't an archery site...it's a gun site so I (as a rule) post things gun related. I must admit, I am disappointed by some of the negative posts to what I consider a positive review of a gun related topic. My focus of late has been with tactical training, primarily room clearing and I wished to directly compare drills with a shotgun to those using a handgun. I ultimately determined that a shotgun's disadvantages (size & shell capacity) outweighed advantages and will resume my training with a pistol for home/business defense. Many on this site are from So. Calif. and I thought the post might be beneficial to them and also to express my appreciation for the training I received from the company.

So while yes, I am a bit dismayed by the sophomoric and nasty posts of a few here...I have learned that roughly half the population of our country lacks knowledge, wisdom and even common sense...let alone manners and a general desire to be happy. Many are Democrats who support Biden sooo....

I choose to ignore those who display less than what I call MCR (Minimal Character Requirement) because life's too short to deal with negative, childlike people. They post bovine excrement in hopes of inciting a response...my response is to ignore them. You I still question...unsure what to make of you but in time I am certain I'll learn whether you are Mensa material or full of the stuff Matadors stand on.

You don't seem to grasp the fact that many here thrive in a learning environment where yelling and this "military tone" you speak of is just conversation. I think at some point you've had yer feels hurt, perhaps it struck home....and that is precisely the point of it....and you missed it.

You should have read this thread before posting in the Bear Pit.

I will say this OP. You posted in the bear pit. It’s called the bear pit for a fucking reason.

If you didn’t want your precious feelings hurt, you need to post in the appropriate subforum.

This is a forum not a god damn yelp review.

You talk about knowledge, wisdom, and common sense. Perhaps learn before speaking/writing.

So act like a man and take it like a bitch!
Then learn from your mistakes.

I did not condemn the "military tone"...I stated their unique approach was "most surprising" because it is not what I am used to. But I also stated they offered training to all types from seasoned combat soldiers to shotgun virgins and women. So their manner is different to help get more people into firearms training which I support. The worst type of gun owner is the one that has a gun (and perhaps a CCW permit) that never uses it, learns how and is a risk. Today's society seems to need a softer, gentler everything. I prefer to believe that the military guys here are tougher than you suggest. We all have experienced the idiot putting a muzzle in our face and certainly there is a time for yelling.

Nice ad TJ
If you were a hair smarter you would have looked at the Yelp review, clicked on my profile and then read the other reviews I submitted (both good & bad) and realized I'm just a gifted writer whose reviews generally remain in the #1 position because they are comprehensive, first-person reviews containing details consumers appreciate. As a businessman I understand the value of positive reviews and draft them when someone is especially good or especially bad.

IDK who the smooth brain over all All Safe Defense was that choose to open up in the Bear Pit, but for fucks sake do some research.
I only see his left hand where’s his right?
