hot weather

Boys grew up and moved out

Bedroom turned into gun room.

So nice to have one room for everything.

Considering taking over the bedroom next to it so I can have a gun room with couch and fridge AND a reloading / ammo storage room .

We don't need a "guest" room :ROFLMAO:

Looks like summer has got here too

SW Florida here, was in SE Va. for some time. Luckily we are near the west coast so a decent breeze is usually about. I'm sure folks have been around both and not much difference during the hot months. It's normally no more than 90 or so here, SE Va./NE NC in the summer at 95-100 and the same freaking humidity is no fun, especially out on the ranges during the day doing mil classes.
Bottom line if you can't deal with the heat-you won't enjoy the outdoors, it is nice when at the range and once lunch time hits, it's usually empty. One trick is to "vent" your rifle cases and scope caps otherwise you will wait a bit for the condensation to go away!
I was going to put a mini split in the garage but (have to verify) that the current code requires the walls to be all sheetrock. Screw that, not going through that expense. It's mainly the humidity so I may do a dehumidifier, maybe mount it so I can have it high enough to drain into the sink. If I could get away with it, I would cut a door from the garage to the one spare bedroom-gotta pick a different hill!

Condition yourself to be outside if health allows, drink the proper fluids, dress properly for the conditions. I will say that these rehydration drinks do work, after enough drain, water doesn't keep you in the game. I know that the Cerasport stuff works well, cycle it in with plain water and don't start the day dehydrated as you are most likely are already.

Have the same issue, I just try to reload everything I need by mid June, and stay out of the garage until the end of September. That will have to do until I get around to building another shed I can put a window unit in.
