lets see your foundation stock

Yep, Centurion grip, direct from Foundation.

I've wanted to try a Centurion with their "hillbilly cut" for a while, but I just never could score a weight kit (and was hesitant to order the $600 tungsten one, the only one that's ever available lol)... the Samson makes things easy.

What'd they quote you for a lead time? I'm starting to spec out my build for next season.

I never spoke with anyone, just saw this and know/trust that John-Kyle & Co means it:

On a separate note, I have several Foundation Stocks and while I like them.....I've also been more neutral as far as the overall comparison to other stocks/chassis that I prefer.

But these Samson IMO are much nicer than the previous stocks. The thumb shelf cuts, grip stippling, and the control bridge.....really make this thing feel very good. Obviously their stocks have always been very nice. But these changes really improved it for me personally.

It’s funny you say that, I’d been on the hunt for a Centurion in the PX for a while, when I showed up for my to coat. I liked it, but was like… eeeeh yeah I don’t need to buy one of these. Maybe the Sampson is a different animal.

Hopefully this means mine is coming up soon. I ordered the brass and aluminum kit together.

What's the minimum length of pull on the Samson
Kinda hard to find that info, right? Doesn’t seem to be on most individual product pages. I found this:

Foundation Stocks ship standard with a 13.5” LOP on all models with the exception of the Revelation, which ships standard at 13”. They can be adjusted by the addition or subtraction of spacer from 13” LOP to 16.5” LOP. If long is necessary please give us a call.

I hope the new Samson is included in that.

Good question I was wondering the same thing I just emailed foundation to find out will report back unless someone wants to measure theirs.

I'm going to reach out and order mine with the minimum 13" LOP (13.5 with a spacer), and skip the ARP (I'll never adjust/use it and don't want/need the unnecessary complication). People who cant their buttpads are weirdos.

And, see about ordering the aluminum weight kit too like @NiteQwill (and ask if aluminum pieces might be available a la carte)?

13 is even a little too long for me. I'm spoiled by my MDT

It does sort of seem like an oversight for a PRS-specific stock with things trending towards being squared-up. I'm 6'2" and after running 13.5" for years, recently discovered 13" works better off the bag and for any type of modified-prone for me. If I was any smaller, 13" might be pushing it.

Maybe they'll come up with something after they get enough requests?

Im 5' 8" and I run my ACC Elite at 12", full collapsed. I really hope they do come up with something.

FWIW, I heard back from John-Kyle, and with the Samson you can order a 13” minimum LOP and still have the adjustable recoil pad (this is what I went with, because while canted buttpads are for weirdos, I would like to be able to raise mine a bit like I’m used to with my TCS).

Sounds like they can go shorter on the LOP (not sure how much shorter exactly) if one can live with the standard/basic legacy recoil pad…

I ordered my Centurion with adjustable buttpad this way. The adjustable buttpad adds 0.5" to the minimum LOP they can cut a stock to and that LOP is 12.5", so if you want an adjustable buttpad it's 13" minimum as far as I can tell. That's what I got for my Centurion and I imagine the Samson would be the same.

It's a very nice stock, and comes with all sorts of Blessings, unfortunately, none of that helped my game this past weekend at PIGG River.
Beautiful place, great people and venue.
Great (Challenging) COF, tiny targets, wind, short times (70 secs on one), lots of moving, single shot, multiple targets.
And an old body does not add up to low(er) scores.
Loved the stock though, might need me some more church----.
PS: The "Targets" you see are actually the signs with stage markings, the targets are to the left. 500-742 yards.

Stupid question can brass be cerakoted? I love the Samson just can’t do the all brass look.
I'm not a huge fan of the blinged-out look either and am already planning on having most/all of the brass on mine cerakoted if I decide I can't stand it.

One of my pistols wears brass grips that were cerakoted, so I know it can be done:

Yes, you can. I've had past brass firearm pieces cerakoted. You can also blue them, as well.
