Shots Fired At President Trump's Butler PA Rally!

Think about it this way, the secret service only has so many personnel. When they come into town and ask for help, they get local city PD, Sheriff's deputies, state patrol, local state fairgrounds officers for a situation like this, all kinds of personnel for free and off of their limited budget.

Local police chief and sheriff and so on are happy to help out.

Local PD even covers all the intersections on the route to and from, roadway clear.

The Secret Service cannot possibly cover a mile around the location. Local PD covers all of the area outside of the secure area. That is the way it used to be done, and I know that from firsthand experience participating in it. Again, that was a while ago, so I do not have experience lately, and it may have changed, but from the sound of that article it is done the same way today as it was back then.
this wasn't a mile, it was 150 yards.

I just came to say the same thing about the timeline, which nobody can argue.

We know for a fact that the call went over the net that there was a threat with a weapon moving into position.

How do we know this? Because the counter-sniper team was oriented towards the shooter intently and actively searching or scanning for him. Why were they doing that? Because the call went over the net.

This means the PPD right there near Trump would have gotten that notification as well.

Under SS protocol, when they get the update that someone with a weapon is in or near the venue, they pounce on the Principle and evac them, so the assassin can’t get a shot.

This is where we can clearly say there was an absolute failure, and there are no excuses for it, nobody to blame or deflect to. If they try to pull the, “We didn’t hear it in time.” excuse, they are the ones who are in charge of the comms plan. They are the ones who set up the comms plan, brevity codes, broke down all the sectors, color-coded the sectors, and coordinated everything with the local and State LEOs. They are the absolute lead agency in this whole deal.

Given what we’ve seen with unedited, raw video, and the totality of that initial evidence, the SS is looking complicit in allowing this to happen.

You look at FB and you would think that July 13 did not exist. Nothing. Nada. Everytthing taken down. Everything covered. The blue hair dyke censor types are working 24 x 7 to utterly stamp out any idea that this happened..

And don't think people have not noticed.

The good news is that Elon Musk has gone all-in on supporting Trump. Not just financially. But with X/Twitter and with his finances. He has way more followers than any of the leftist asshats and one word from him trends instantly.

So... the social media this time is not loaded 100 percent against America. It's going to be an equal battle. And arguably, X/Twitter/Instagram is much stronger. FB is for old fudds like us. It's sooooo 2007. IMHO, this censorship is going to push more people off.

The good news is that the events of this weekend are going to galvanize so many folks... Christians who think Trump was blessed. People who just watched the left celebrate an assassination attempt. Biden's completely retarded blubbering, incoherent response and the media BS... that is so transparent.

When Reagan was shot, he went up 22 points in the polls overnight and almost never gave that up. His popularity soared and stuck with him throughout his presidency. Which is one of the reasons the Left worked so hard to destroy him. And is continuing to work to destroy Trump. It's not Trump. It's Trump's 'cut taxes and regulations/smaller govt.' platform that echoes Reagan. And both times, the plan created economic boom times. That is UTTERLY in the face of socialist Keynesian economics that says only Government Spending and Regulation can create a healthy economy. In short... capitalism must be stomped out and government must control the economy. That would be communism/socialism/facism in whatever form you want to call it.

So it will be interesting to see what the Convention and the July 13 bump do. And what happens when we see the DNC convention in a couple of weeks. Because I guarantee that is going to make Chicago 68 look like Romper Room. The batshit crazies are going to turn it into a circus and Biden is going to be a drooling empty suit in front of the entire DNC Hierarchy. Will he get a poll bump? Or is he going to swirl further down the toilet of self-immolation.

Remember.... it's all about politics...

Cheers,

Sirhr
I was not excited at all to vote for Trump again based on everything he's done since COVID and his anti life rhetoric on the campaign but after this I'm all in again. If for nothing else he sure makes the shitheads reveal themselves for who they are. I just wish good people didn't have to die for it.

It could be that the counter snipers saw the people near the shooters position waving their arms and pointing to the position. That could have alerted them and put them on scope. Either way Trump should have been pulled from stage

When I was in junior high, our history teacher assigned us this really cool project where we had to interview 5 people who were adults at the time JFK was assassinated and write down their experiences. Only 2 could be family members.

I interviewed our next-door neighbor, who was from Arkansas. He said kids were running up and down the hallways in school cheering, “That commie bastard is dead!". Remember the wanted signs that were posted in the newspaper and pinned up all over Dallas?

There were a lot of people that were happy when JFK was killed, many of them Democrats. The Nation did not all go into mourning.
I was in 4th grade in Ft. Lewis Wash. when JFK was shot. Girls were crying in the lunch line. School was cancelled next day and the whole state was in silent mourning.

I remember seeing a lone kid riding his bike around on the empty street and thought it was disrespectful. The idea of kids running down the hallways in school laughing and calling JFK a commie didn't happen, at least not where I lived. The term 'commie' was not even in common use then.

there may well be, I'd be surprised if a certain someone we've all heard of hadn't at least reached out to Mr Trump as he's been so vocal on Twitter.
but why broadcast security improvements? I just hope to God they're made hard and fast.
To hopefully make any would-be copycats think twice. Instead we have USSS and local PD pointing fingers at each other, USSS saying they won't allocate additional resources, etc. Somewhere there's a balance between maintaining OPSEC and presenting a strong show of force.

The problem is the LEO who allegedly had a gun pointed at him when he confronted the shooter would have immediately put the call out over the net. “GUN GUN GUN sector Blue, on the roof of building!"

He’s not going to just have that happen and say, “I think I’ll go get a donut and not tell anyone.”

"A local law enforcement officer climbed to the roof and found Crooks, who pointed the rifle at the officer. The officer then retreated down the ladder, and the gunman quickly fired toward Trump, the officials said. That’s when U.S. Secret Service gunmen shot him, the officials said."

What story is this quote from? I have not read this one

Any LE snipes on this website😂. I've been a LE sniper/SWAT since the late 80's, now retired. I told my wife yesterday, that the feds were going to blame local LE for that building not being covered....and guess what? The fed's, ALL feds, think local LE are only good for directing traffic, or getting lunch. There is no way they would direct local LE to cover out buildings that close to a site like this, unless...... I find it difficult to believe, but the incompetence is so huge that it can't be just that, as difficult as that is to say.

Body half off the roof, feet still on the rungs, hands holding the ladder with no good way to draw a side arm without falling off the ladder. Then a rifle gets leveled at you? That's a situation that a reasonable person nopes the hell out of, and finds a better solution.

In Dallas Some Schoolchildren Cheered the Day JFK was Shot

The historical record of many people, including ones in prominent positions, professionals, schoolchildren, and their parents that celebrated JFK’s assassination is without question and well documented. Doctors were on record for saying, “Good. I hope they got Jackie.” Richard Ely of the Citizen’s Council (segregationists) said, "I firmly believe Mr. Kennedy died a tyrant's death. He did not set back communism. He encouraged integration, which has the support of communism. He was a tyrant"

Malcolm X said, “It was a case of “chickens coming home to roost", and added that "chickens coming home to roost never did make me sad; they've always made me glad."

I returned to Texas a couple weeks after the assassination and Texas and the tone was muted, respectful and very sad. I witnessed nothing you describe.

I think perhaps loud shit talking Democrats are now considering the possibility of being targeted by a “crazy” themselves. Suddenly not so loud and confident. They are remembering all the personal interactions where they treated some insignificant nobody terribly and laughed about it. Mentally sound people don’t do public assassinations, but there are some dummies out there.

Grew up in Dallas and everyone in my extremely conservative family was sad and mornful after the shooting. I never heard of anyone celebrating.

Its a woman. Shes the first female Counter Sniper in USSS history. I will not be sharing her information, but I can 100% confirm this.

Any reason why the Secret Service, with a woman leading it with DEI as her first priority, would want to keep her identity secret?

this wasn't a mile, it was 150 yards.
You are missing the point. The do not secure an area that large. The secured area has controlled entry points and searches with metal detectors. There is only so large that area can be. Everything outside is patrolled or secured by locals. That is the case even for current Presidents, or, let me say it used to be.

Yes, they have an advance team and all of that, but they rely on locals outside of that area.

Typically they have a plan that they give to the locals, so maybe they handed out a plan that told the locals to secure that building, or maybe they did not. Maybe the locals interpreted it as walking around the building a bit while slurping on a 32 ounce soda, as somebody above said, securing it "from the ground." LOL.

I am not saying this is not a massive failure by the Secret Service. I am just telling you about my experience way back when, for whatever relevance it has (and it may have none in 2024).

I am sure at some point we are going to get a full and detailed report on what they did and why and what the failures were, exactly. We can't expect that on Monday after it happened on Saturday.

You can climb a ladder with a pistol in your hand. Imagine if he'd popped a couple shots off at the shooter, even wild ones that bounced off the roof. Trump would still have both his ears.

This is a great example of anecdotes vs larger data where people don’t know the history they lived through. The people I cited are on record for celebrating JFK’s assassination. Remember all the division about JFK mobilizing tens of thousands of soldiers he sent to quell the Mississippi riots after forced desegregation? Ole Mississippi Riot of Sep-Oct 1962

He Federalized the Mississippi National Guard at first and tried to stop the rebellion that way, but only 67 soldiers reported for duty, so then he sent in US Army MP detachments, then units from the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions.

Then there was his federalization and deployment of troops in Alabama June 10, 1963 to force desegregation against Governor George Wallace. A lot of people in the South were pissed at Kennedy and saw him as a direct threat to their State sovereignty.

These are some of the most pivotal events of the 1960s. Remember “Segregation now! Segregation tomorrow! Segregation forever!”

The harsh reality is that not everyone was mourning when JFK was assassinated. It’s just that people don’t learn history as it happens, nor do they learn it afterwards. The 1960s was one of the most divisive times in US History, only out-done by Bleeding Kansas and the subsequent Civil War. Most Americans have never heard of Bleeding Kansas either.

Thanks.

Dammit, I was taken in.

Apparently one of the most popular pictures on the internet is not even him, either.

Fucking internet trolls. Why do folks waste their time trying to fool everybody?
I've seen pics in this thread more recently that I actually believe to have been the shooter. I haven't shared any pics except deceased body pics so I'm positive I'm not slandering anybody or anything. got to be careful of idiots on the interwebs sharing bullshit.

The blame game only goes so far, the reality is the SS is responsible and the person in charge of the pre-planning phase would have never left the high ground vantage point unprotected. This person and the event commander is wholly responsible for this complete failure, not the locals, not the leader of the SS but the 2 persons in charge of planning and executing the protective mission. I'm sure this won't remain secret for long as lots of people know who is responsible.

It makes perfect sense that the local police departments cover the outer buildings. Supposedly a cop found a ladder against the building, climbed up and saw the shooter. Then ran away.

Butler PA is a smaller town they probably had 1-2 guys hanging around that building/parking lot thinking nothing would happen.

I posted it earlier and have seen similar updates. The most recent report is the LEO that saw him on the roof was not on the ladder. He was being hoisted up by another LEO and as he was pulling himself up, with both hands, Crooks pointed the gun at him and he let go. Crooks then started shooting.
Seems reasonable to let go, if that’s what happened. I don’t think too many people can do a one-handed flax arm hang to retrieve their sidearm.

If the LEO was on a ladder, there’s no excuse for not going up with a sidearm in hand.

He may have communicated immediately but there was some serious latency in the police to secret service communications grapevine that day. The details of which will be kept secret for 100 years in the name of national security <sarcasm>.

If accurate, and had he known his radio comms would not be relayed immediately to the protection detail on the podium, he might have also opted to discharge his weapon multiple times into the dirt behind the building to get the secret service reaction that was needed.

It needs to come out why they, the SS, let Trump continue to speak when there was any hint of a risk they were clearly actively trying to cooberate.
