Shots Fired At President Trump's Butler PA Rally!

I keep reading that President Trump should hire his own protection team, is there some kind of national permit that would allow said team to carry everywhere he goes? Like New York, Illinois DC, so on and so on? I have no idea how that stuff works, just curious. Also anyone have an idea what the daily rate might be on that type of security detail?

Maybe someone can do some sleuthing. But looks like a Red Dot something.

Can someone do some sleuthing and explain this picture to me?

Like why's there no one else up there and the rifle so far away?

"No Bob, it's fine, let's go get lunch, it'll be up there when we get back." ;)

Are we talking about this pic?View attachment 8461605

If so, zooming in to the ear, it doesn't look big enough to be scars, and its too long. It looks like blood. And the back of the jaw/ear absolutely looks like an exit wound, I don't know who said it before that there is no exit wound from this. All the blood running down his face likely came from that wound.
I think the bullet entered the mouth, took ot the front teeth and exited the back of his neck, behind the jaw as I originally surmised.

You can see what is probably the edge of a massive exit hole below the ear. And as you say, the blood is coming from that exit wound.

Why is his ear chewed on? It looks like Evander Hollyfield's.

Yeah that ear looks pretty messed up. Wonder what we're missing from the pic that doesn't show why.

As I stated earlier, I think if you look closely enough on a high-res screen with high magnification, the teeth are all there. They are just covered by a thick film of dark, clotted blood which looks like a hole, but you can see the teeth are still there underneath that clot if you really look. I do not believe he was hit in the mouth.

That freakish ear is the exact SAME ear in all the pics you see of him. It isn’t damaged, it looked like that in his school pictures. It’s the main reason I put no stock in the theory that it isn’t Crooks in this pic, but some other person. No one else could have an ear that weird, except Banjo Boy in Deliverance.

CALLED BEFORE

Trump shooter's parents called police hours before assassination attempt

“July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds,” someone posted on the gaming platform, according to Fox News.

According to a review of the poster’s user profile by NBC News, the account that made that comment changed its name to Thomas M. Crooks on Sunday, a day after the shooting.

Is this a Time Zone issue?
Yeah, just like the ball dropping in Times Square on Jan 1. While those that were at the rally saw the attempt live, those in California didn’t see it for 3 hours…

No, it’s not a “time zone issue.” It’s a “everyone wants to be the first to report something, so they report anything issue.”

That’s what I heard.

One poster on this thread, a shitload of pages back posted the wind speeds & correction for several projectiles at certain velocities. Apparently the wind kicked up a bit when it was DJT’s time to speak.

Where you been hiding at? Sniping more rockchucks with your SRS? I thought we’d have seen more of you on this thread.
I was shooting a match about a hour away from there and got a first round hit at 1260y on a coyote silhouette without coming of the plate. Even if it had been full value there wasn't much wind.
I can't see it being much different where the rally was. I know the weather apps said it was blowing pretty hard but we sure didn't get any of that

somebody had claimed there was little or no wind up until trump was speaking and it started gusting at 30mph (full wind to the shot direction).
i didn't look into it further to find out. i don't think it is worth the trouble, but it could have been a factor i guess.

It could be. We were don't by 4 and I headed back to Ohio so I guess it could have picked up. I shoot out there a lot and unless you have funneling terrain features like Geissele's range there typically isn't much wind to worry about in the NE region.

First I've seen of the van and an explanation of the ladder.

My only issue with some of the theories is this, a step ladder isn’t hard to carry with one hand. Seen skinny teenagers do it plenty. What’s an ar and 100 rounds in a backpack weigh? Could be as little as 10 pounds. So to lug that a mile if not in a hurry and well in advance? Pretty easy.

Now, is it likely he had some looser helping him? I’d bet money on it. Maybe a skinny looser friend helped carry that massive super heavy ladder and the ginormous assault rifle.

If some sort of national carry reciprocity existed, don't you think every gun owner in the country would have it? There are a growing number of states that have enacted constitutional carry laws, but not all.

Biden plans to change the Supreme Court

“I’m going to need your help on the Supreme Court, because I’m about to come out — I don’t want to prematurely announce it — but I’m about to come out with a major initiative on limiting the court … I’ve been working with constitutional scholars for the last three months, and I need some help,” Biden said, according to a transcript of the call" - https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/07/16/biden-supreme-court-reforms/

Sounds like he's about to act again like a fascist totalitarian dictator!

Are you assuming she's the one who created the 3D rendering?

Truthfully, compared to a lot of the crap that's been thrown out here so far, the scenario she presented isn't any less plausible.
No reason to believe she didn't and it's kinda besides the point.
Whomever created it needs new shooting buddies.
10ft at 130yrds is laughable

You are obviously not familiar with that particular ladder, they are extremely heavy

From a nice comfy shaded bench with a rock rest and a tasty beverage sure.

Shooting while repositioning on a slick dAnGErouSlY sloped roof not so much.

They kinda know where all the bullets landed. They were all somewhere in that circle.

I'm not saying she's right but most of the couch quarterbacks saying they could have done better with the same equipment in the same situation are more likely to be wrong than her or whoever put the model together.

I'm not saying that at all. Her comment was that 10ft is what an average shooter can do just in general. That's what I'm commenting on.

This particular situation....
That kid was under more pressure and stress than most civilians have ever experienced. He went up on that roof damn well knowing he wasn't coming back down.
Combine that with a mostly unsupported position and I think he did rather well.

It is an electrician’s ladder, you can tell by the color, they are fiberglass

Yeah, fiberglass tends to be a tad heavier and that sorta checks out since one of the companies in the buildings where he was freely roaming might be Fergusen Heating and A/C

Which of the teams flinched?

You see him come off that rifle and his tripod gets unsettled as he tries to reacquire a target. Was it recoil or a flinch? Having potentially sent thousands of rounds down range, why was he so unsettled? My thought is that it's been stated 1-2 cops were already behind him and dropped down when Crooks turned around and pointed his weapon towards them. Maybe they popped back up and dumped some shots his way.

Side note, this video is getting scrubbed from the web, a few others have posted it earlier in this thread, now its gone.

When the "too slopey" was trotted out about the 2 degree roof, it became pretty obvious any further utterances from these people would be just as stupid. They don't care how stupid or preposterous anything sounds, they know, and everyone else knows, no matter what they say, nothing will happen to them, so they very likely say stupid things just to stir anger...because they can and will get away with it.
They don’t always get away with it
