Shots Fired At President Trump's Butler PA Rally!

If you put a pic of a live Yernick and Crooks on a split screen and put the pic of the dead ear guage guy below without studying, which one would you say it is?

They have video of Crooks casing the buildings and on the roof and then they have the older looking ear guage guy with darker hair death pic. I say two people / shooters.

And when was wearing shorts and one was wearing pants.

First I've seen of the van and an "explanation" of the ladder.

My only issue with some of the theories is this, a step ladder isn’t hard to carry with one hand. Seen skinny teenagers do it plenty. What’s an ar and 100 rounds in a backpack weigh? Could be as little as 10 pounds. So to lug that a mile if not in a hurry and well in advance? Pretty easy.

Now, is it likely he had some looser helping him? I’d bet money on it. Maybe a skinny looser friend helped carry that massive super heavy ladder and the ginormous assault rifle.

You are obviously not familiar with that particular ladder, they are extremely heavy

Did anybody publish the brand of the ladder and the specific type?

I'm thinking a 10ft aluminum ladder weighs between 25-35lbs depending on brand, fiberglass heavier.

The ladder was planted before he arrived. This was an inside job.

The time has come to ban ladders over 10 feet tall! If someone has to climb higher than that, they better hire a professional.

Only professional carpenters and Mexican roofers should possess tall ladders!

I wonder how long ago it was planted.

Had to be a really long time. Like years ago.

I got a fig tree I planted years ago and it's still not tall enough or strong enough for me to climb it to the roof.

But maybe ladders grow fast.

The simplest explanation is usually the best, and incompetence is it. Did we see any competence? Did you see the video of them bringing hi to the hospital emergency room door, no special entrance with armed security already waiting, no advance to clear the area. SUVs pull up, with high roofs all around, chunky ss lady steps out in front of the SUV with her pistol, and the former president walks into an unsecured area through a big sliding glass door from an unsecured outside area.

It is not like he wuld die in seconds and they were wheeling him in on a gurney. They had time to do a few minutes of preparation.

If this had been an organized group it would have been a simple matter to have a competent sniper on a rooftop at the hospital and a couple of guys with pistols waiting inside the emergency room faking injuries.

Trump would have been dead.

It is mere luck that he is alive.

These folks are incompetent to the point that it can almost be said Trump's odds of surviving the assassination attempt were roughly the same whether the Secret Service was there or not. I say almost because of the sniper who eventually took out Crooks, but one of the local PD with a rifle could have done that just as well given the short distance involved.
This. Just to begin with, the munchkin with the inability to handle her weapon can only be part of a clown show. Seriously? A near midget can cover a guy who is almost 6' 4" and about 260 lbs?

They are laughing at us or they are just plain stupid. In this case, I tend to think the latter. I know, I get it, too many things are not adding up but yeah, they are just stupid. Or, if covering it up, they are not covering anything, which is also a sign of incompetence.

There's a PACMAN on the map at the end!

I was shooting a match about a hour away from there and got a first round hit at 1260y on a coyote silhouette without coming of the plate. Even if it had been full value there wasn't much wind.
I can't see it being much different where the rally was. I know the weather apps said it was blowing pretty hard but we sure didn't get any of that
Where mkm ?

And people here said 18-30 mph wind.

So

That's the thing though mate, he didn't really 'sneak' anywhere did he? Lol. Was about as open with his intent as he could be without wearing a highvis vest with 'Assassin' emblazoned on it, even then I'm doubtful this shitshow's response would have been any different.

he should have worn urban camo, no one would have spotted him

ha thats funny

I guess it more believable that he carried it through a crowd of trump supporters with his rifle on the day of.

I catch the bullet trace on cell phone video all the time. Just screen shot that and there's your amazing impossible to capture picture of bullet trace.
I was watching an AR shooter from almost 90 degrees on a 400 yard course.

I could see the rounds catching the low rising sun.

They looked like tracers for a split second.

You see him come off that rifle and his tripod gets unsettled as he tries to reacquire a target. Was it recoil or a flinch? Having potentially sent thousands of rounds down range, why was he so unsettled? My thought is that it's been stated 1-2 cops were already behind him and dropped down when Crooks turned around and pointed his weapon towards them. Maybe they popped back up and dumped some shots his way.

Side note, this video is getting scrubbed from the web, a few others have posted it earlier in this thread, now its gone.

A couple of observations... From the flags behind the president, winds looked very light, not gusting to 30mph. Also scrub the video slowly and pay attention to the barrel position of the left CS. The angle initially looks like it is about the correct angle for the roof of the building the shooter was on. Something startles him prior to the first shot and when he goes back onto his glass, the barrel initially comes up above horizontal and then down or to the left but it does not look like he gets a shot off. (No muzzle blast or smoke and no recoil on his shoulder.) His fellow sniper looks to duck his head down and take cover face down. I saw on another video that CS teams use different magnification so one can see close in and the other further out to get 2 different pictures. If that is the case and both of these guys were targeting the precise location just prior to the shooting, why did neither one see the shooter and get a shot off?

Perhaps entirely unrelated.

And it's not like there aren't enough turds floating in this pool already.

But ...

Supposedly, according to one or two sources, there may have been, maybe, a local LEO "sniper" on the ground who took a shot at Crooks.

I have no idea where this person was or if there was even a shot.

Maybe a round from this shooter meandered it's way past the sniper team on the roof?

ETA: Hmm, maybe if the two ladder theory a couple posts back is true it might not be all that far fetched the snipers were reacting to friendly fire

EATA: LOLOLOLOLOLOL just notice Saddam Hussein

somebody had claimed there was little or no wind up until trump was speaking and it started gusting at 30mph (full wind to the shot direction).
i didn't look into it further to find out. i don't think it is worth the trouble, but it could have been a factor i guess.
It was doc with AB. I trust him.

Yeah, fiberglass tends to be a tad heavier and that sorta checks out since one of the companies in the buildings where he was freely roaming might be Fergusen Heating and A/C

Being an electrician, I've used every ladder out there at this point. Even the aluminum ones. Maybe it comes down to design, but my shoulder tells me it goes aluminum, wood, then fiberglass from heaviest to lightest, for "A" frame ladders (the difference between them is so small I could even be wrong about my guess).
They are awkward to carry though, and if it isn't something you're carrying every day, it won't matter what they're made of, they're heavy. That little string bean won't be carrying a 10ft ladder too easily from working in a kitchen. Give him a 12 foot or bigger and I bet he's dragging it.

Their view of the shooter, at least for a clean shot, was purportedly obstructed by the line of trees.

News media fighting about FACTS :)
“July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds,” someone posted on the gaming platform, according to Fox News.

According to a review of the poster’s user profile by NBC News, the account that made that comment changed its name to Thomas M. Crooks on Sunday, a day after the shooting.

Money isn't the only thing that can be used to compel someone to do something.
You can offer the wrong person all the money in the world and they aren't going to do what you want them to do.
You tell the right person that you'll kill their cat and they will do anything you want.
Or... I can save your... Family member , wife ,son, daughter. I know and have the ability to get them the best medical, organ ... Whatever.
Sometimes that can be more intcing than money.

Yeah, but they're Trump's ground crew and subject to the same loyalty scrutiny as his pilots. Perhaps, even more, given they are the ground crew.

I would, however, be concerned with Trump Force 1 being shot down by some kind of SAM or Stinger or something. They best make sure his flight schedules and "Wheels up" times are kept highly confidential. The first few thousand feet of Wheels up time is the most dangerous/vulnerable time for being hit with SAM/Stinger. When the target is "at altitude," it's probably out of range. When it's landing, there's always the risk of a "go-around" and a change of landing runway. Hard to set up. Furthermore, take off is more risky as the aircraft is fully fueled. It would "blow up real good!"
clinton had brown missled,so very possible

Good question. I'm not familiar with private security regs. on a state-by-state basis. I assume they must be licensed to operate in each state they visit with their client.

Permits for mere mortals are handed out on a resident or non-resident basis.

The map at this link is interactive and helpful for figuring out how to get national carry coverage.

Remember to click "CLEAR" every time you want to change something.

In the "states that honor my permit" you can click on all the states in which you have permits and it will show your reciprocity coverage.
