there is the obvious solution. move the military back from all over the fucking planet. aggressive wars are not good as we should have learned. but we have been invaded by hostile violent foreign elements. declare war on mexico. prepare the military for full scale invasion. unfortunately have to get control at least 1/2 way thru durango, take all of baja. treat ALL illegals here as hostile invaders,POW camps or elimination, like any war. we might have to rent or borrow some generals from putin. doubt any of the ass kissers in charge now could handle a bagration type/size operation.
we still have some military land power but it is rapidly draining away. our country is in very real danger of being drowned by 30+ (?) mil invaders.
we need to come to some kind of modus vivendi with russia and china. also, some kind of hard and fast but non threatening or aggressive western hemisphere doctrine and policy.

You mean like using the Israeli model?

The ICC would make the US pay reparations and give Texas back.

And we had the Monroe Doctrine. All we did with it was run drugs and regime change. That’s part of how we got here.

All that being said it would be a shame if evything coming from Mexico had a 50-75% tariff placed on it and every money transfer back to Mexico was taxed 75%. There are two aspects of war: kinetic and economic. Economic gets even the attention of tyrants because it can cause internal war and change.

Texas was a sovereign and independent country that freely joined the United States.
So there is NOT anything to "Give Back".

Texans fought, bled and died to wrest freedom for them and their posterity from a hostile government and won. The former rulers officially signed over rights to governance to the new free Republic of Texas.

Texas then as an officially, legally and solidly recognized independent country, decided to merge with the United States and become a State.

So all this B.S. ideas about "giving Texas back or such" is a bunch of revisionist B.S.

Now California...
They should have never stopped conquering until they took the whole peninsula, then we wouldn't have half the troubles there we do now.
Perhaps in the future that will be done as payback for all the crime, drugs and illegals that the Mexicans have pushed into our country.

It’s called sarcasm.

Love the idea of the tax on the money being sent back

might make the case that we should have kept conquering +/- ? next up to read is a history of the alamo era in texas. i start out by wondering why sam huston let santa anna off after san jacinto. goliad was an atrocity that really violated even the primative understanding of dealing with enemies. s.a. did warn the alamo of "no quarter" so that is not,to me, a revenge generator. goliad a whole dif thing.

Perhaps we do a whole George W. Bush style event of regime change and bringing freedom and democracy to our oppressed friends up north?
well, tempting, but that is a bad example and the kind of thing that has gotten us into big trouble last 35 years. not saying we should do that but their culture, history and society is much closer to ours than iraq, syria, afganistan or libya. maybe if we showed that we were REALLY a free country many of them might want to sign up. doubt it. the thing i think should happen is really a defensive war. protect our culture, keep invasion from happening again. we haven't manipulated mexico or any latin american country like we did japan, germany or even iraq in the 20th cent. you could maintain and i kinda do that we let big corps screw around in nicaragua and the phillipines and the mafia in cuba.so their people have a reason to get pissed. i agree with butler that fighting in those banana wars was not justified at all. i am a rather radical isolationist and we should be energy independent and only buy energy from the mideast and russia if it suits both parties, otherwise FO ya'll. the invasion has to be resisted and ended otherwise we are done as is europe.

oh no!

The petition isn't signed because people now fear being on lists and what the consequences of being on this list will be after the next steal.
I'm pretty sure that is exactly what he is pointing out.
Sit on your hands or participate.

Anybody even remotely considering signing the petition is already on several "lists" anyway.
I'm sure I am.

No, he is bringing up just laziness as the reason that signatures weren't happening on the petition. There is a difference between fear and laziness we shouldn't be fearful of expressing ourselves in a constitutional republic, but here we are.
