Anybody remember who this 106yr old character is?

Anybody remember her sitting on the porch next to the edge of that corn field and saying "Storm's a coming."?

Most storms start with just a trickle or light mist then evolve into something large and out of control.
I am worried that we are already starting to see the light mist.

Sure hope I am proved wrong.
I would love nothing better than to come back here in 24 months and say Yep, I was full of shit and worried about nothing.

ATV rider runs down 80yr old man trying to post pro Trump signs.

Don't think it will be near that long,...
Watching what some are buying in quantity, the writing is on the wall. Also demand for rebuilt pump & line none turbo Diesel & none computer controlled spark ignited, black start EPG gear is thru the roof, in stuff under 200KW. As well as Manuel transfer switch installs, down stream of select automatics. There seems to be the start of a back log, of the large underground fuel tanks as well. People are getting ready on many different levels,...

Trucks are fucking expensive so rebuilding old stuff is becoming much more popular.

I’ll admit I’ve been looking at old Toyotas as a SHTF vehicle. Like a 90s 4runner.

The old Isuzu BD series diesel engine family engines are bringing astronomical bucks, even if its just a runner.
A Detroit 2-71 genset is bringing maga bucks as well, as is anything in the 900/1200 rpm range that has a rewindable generator on it. Some of the old shipboard 1200rpm gensets that were being thrown away, in the 90's are now gold.

Yeah those are classics, I'm shopping 2000-2015, something like a sequoia or lexus would work too, maybe after I buy something I'll make a bear pit thread and let people pick the mods for me.

I was watching a Youtube from one of those middle aged "Texas Leftist" types and he was blabbering about how his teenaged son told him that he's worried we'll never have elections again. It had ~200k views. Democrats are brainwashing their own kids into extremism so that 20yr old taking a shot at Trump, a 22yr old running over MAGA grampa, we're just going to get more and more of it.

I've been banned on here many times in the last 22 years (never by Frank) for speaking against a mods agenda, of protecting his underlings. To me it just validates closet liberals are everywhere.

Before Feb 2025 there are going to be major changes in the US. Not all will like them & not all will see them,...

Many of the old guys voted with their feet over the years as more & more of the look at me crowd showed up.

I don't remember the year now. There was of all things, a picture posted on the hide of Dean in I-stan in green 511 pants and tan 511 shirt, which was the uniform of the day whenever that was.
And, I don't know who to ask about him any more.
He definitely fell into disfavor in sniperworld. I've lost touch with a lot of the old crew, bunch of them are dead. And then again, just keeping up with GF14e2 is hard enough these days.

I see where Dan the Dumbass is f'ing w GF in the glowie bullshit post. About how FB is good, and PRS is good, for skills and kit shit... Dumbass used to be Deersniper now burtg...

I will ask the few remaining living contacts if they know what happened to Dean.

I heard Dean had some issues. But he was decent enough to help me out back in 05 or 06.

Reason I mentioned 09 or 10 is that back in 2009 or 2010 a bullet maker that I knew mentioned that Dean was a paramedic at the time and looking at getting back into “SOF type stuff” again. Looks like he did.

Hey, can you recommend me a good manual transfer switch? I bought a massive CAT diesel generator for the farm last year. It's almost done refurb. I DO NOT want a computerized transfer switch.

Install suddenly got moved into high gear as the flooding has damaged a high-voltage line leading up to my transformer. Town wants to replace it post-haste. So am accelerating building my gen shed. And want a manual transfer switch. Three positions. Town Power. Off. Generator Power. Wall mount. Inside an insulated generator shed. I'll walk through the snow/rain/whatever to make the switch.

Need the specs? Voltage, Phase (1 or 3), and max amperage of utility of genset (the higher)
Do not overlook a real ONAN (not cummins/onan) or Russel electric ATS. Either are almost bullet proof set up correctly, and can be operated (like most) even if the smoke gets released. With a Russel you can get a combo, ATS w/manual isolation bypass.

Doubt you would need or want it, but they can be had with a make before break neutral if max protection from mother is needed. Those are not cheap even for a manual switch.
