Did you read that drivel? Journalism is truly dead. A propaganda peice to sell you on some new .gov regulations. A new training and certificate a teacher needs.

You know who wants this? Someone who wants to sell the curriculum and someone else who wants to hire some more government employees to put in charge of it all.

Adult sexual misconduct encompasses many things. But 1800 cases out of 8 million school employees is not particularly startling.

135 arrests is like .001% and those are not all teachers.

I dont think women get reported as much because their victims tend to be older and their motivation tends to be sexual. And they are often pursued by the victim.

A part of i wrote i feel is being taken out of context. I don't see someone who has sex with a sexually active HS student as the same as pedo. So, when I say double standard. I am not talking about children, but young adults. 16, 17, 18, 19 years old. Its bad its wrong but how bad is more case by case. People who abuse children or their spouse, use fear to hold power over them, I have use for.

In many other western civilized countries not burdened by ancient stupid hatreds and things from the Puritans, 16 years is full legal age.

That being said most of them also do have rules about folks in positions of power or authority or duty of care, not being allowed to engage in explicit activities with those under their rule/care.

Of course so many Americans who have no idea there is a world outside their borders are all like, well we don't care our law should rule the planet or some such B.S. I'm sure they wouldn't like it if for example the Saudi Arabians came to say they were now criminals for breaking Saudi law...

In my opinion, based on history, laws and everything else, as much as some folks are stupidly stuck on their 18 for some things but not others and 21 for somethings and not others and whatever B.S. was cooked up by somebody, someone older doing explicit things with someone younger than 14 or such is in a whole different class than someone older who is doing explicit things with a willing participant who is like 16 years or older.

If you don't agree, go ask yourself, at what age should a youth who commits a heinous torture or rape or murder or all of them be tried as an adult?
Most "good folks" usually agree somewhere around 14 to 16 they are plenty old enough to bare the full punishment (except death penalty) of their actions and no "I was a kid and I didn't know what I was doing" excuse. (Hint, I could document such cases of murders and other horrific deeds by youths younger than 12).

I think this fantasy resides in a lot of women, they just dont act on it. I think its some motherly thing, but not sure.

Ive known three women that were seemingly normal, which for women is equal to an unstable man. All of the conversations came up when they had too much to drink. One had a fantasy of her younger boys watching her have sex. The other two talked about visualizing younger boys when masturbating. If I recall all seem to involve middle school aged boys. None struck me as the type to actually engage in the behavior, just fantasy. They were all successful women.

Just to know three seemingly normal women to confide this to me, just makes me think it might be more common than we think.

I believe Japan has one of the lowest AOCs there at 13 (Federal Govt.). However, a lot of the Prefectural Govts. bump it up to 18. They have a serious problem there. A lot of young girls especially between grades 7-12 will engage in "Enjo-Kosai." This is a practice where girls of that junior and senior High School teen age will act as "escorts" or female "gigolos" for much older men. Officially, it's only an "escort" service so that the older guy can be seen with his younger companion. But each of those girls know that if they want to be paid the higher $$$ or nicer clothes or jewels or furs, or what have you, they know what they need to do. See Age of Consent in other countries.

Most of the US State Govts set the AOC at 16. NY & TX is 17 and FL/AZ/CA are 18 but FL & AZ have a "close in age exemption." I gather CA is 18 with no close in age exemption as that's due to the p0rn industry's presence being so strong there. See Age of Consent laws by State.
