A little while ago we informed you about the The New DNT Zulus Nightvisions. Arken is no longer handling the distribution for these. They are now being handled by DNT. Same great unit, still great pricing. DNT not only offers the 5-20 Nightvision Scope with, and without, Laser Rangefinder. The reticles are slightly different, with the DNT 7-35x56 FFP Riflescope having the illumination in the whole Christmas Tree portion of the reticle vs the Arken EP-5 7-35x56 which is illuminated in only the center.

We are also told that the Japanese extra low dispersion glass in the DNT Riflescope is optically superior. It features a 45-degree canted windage indicator so you can see where you're at without compromising your shooting position. It also includes the Throw Lever.

Doug, what is the mil reticle’s main crosshair stadia’s thickness? I squinted at the blurry chart but can’t tell…surely it’s not .125mils?

The Razor G2 & G3 are .03mils thick, and the 7-35 NF is .033mils.

So I managed to d/l the sharper version of the subtension chart on my iPhone (kinda tricky, this one).

I don’t see any note of how thick those main stadia are. Maybe I’m blind.

.04 is not a deal breaker at all. Lots of people ask for heavier reticles to be able to see the reticle better in different conditions and lower power.

I think when I changed my order over from the Arken to the DNT with Cameraland the other day I got in on the first shipment so hopefully in the next week or so I can tell you for sure.

I like thinking about reticle design.

DNT’s reticle’s tree design is very well done IMHO. Unlike the Mil-XT, they don’t hammer your eye with numbers at every opportunity. Although I get why NF does that (performance under stress, I believe).

I got the email and was skeptical about clicking since I get so many damn spam emails, but then I realized it was legit, but then didn't know who "C.L. Corp." was, but then I clicked on it, it said Farmingdale, NY, and I was like, "Ohhhhh..." LOL I've never ordered from Doug before, but now I know. 😂

I'm actually excited based on the pictures I've seen, and Doug's opinion on how it's a step up over the Gen2 Arken EP5, which is a noticeable step-up over the Gen1 Arken EP5.

So I noticed that somewhere between 25x-35x it starts darkening around the edges a noticeable amount. Is that a shadow in the camera, or is that visible in the FOV through the scope?

Also, of the scopes you have stated you have, and I listed off several that I have above... What would you honestly compare the DNT to on a "close-enough" scale glass-wise? I'm not expecting alpha for $600... I'm expect Arken, Burris XTR-2, PST-II level glass. IMO, and from my comparisons, the new Viper HD is noticeably better (sharper) glass than the EP5, XTR-II, and PST-II glass.

That's just the phone camera...as the power increases its gets harder to focus ...its just an S21 Samsung BTW.. In real time there is no darkening on the edges, as per usual when you increase power on the optic the whole image just darkens a little.

"Close enough" the NF ATACR 7-35 .....

@FuhQ by the looks of it you will have a sample shortly to look at... I will honestly be very surprised if you don't think the DNT performs above its price tag ... but we will see!

As i have stated before ...its NOT "Alpha" glass but its very good , and at this time i haven't had any issues with either the Arken or DNT..

The S&B 6-36,s and 10-60,s are the finest optics i own and have looked through ....... .BUT they failed ( the 6-36,s multiple times !!!) I am STILL waiting for their return from Germany .
If the DNT/Arken fails i just ring my dealer and he sends me another ...that easy!!

Yeah, Doug has an awesome reputation for exceptional customer service, so I don't have any worries ordering from him, even though this is my first purchase with him. I have always typically ordered my top-tier optics from EuroOptic, just because they always tended to have the things I was hunting for in stock at the time, and I get really good prices through them. But being that Doug has an awesome rep, I have no worries that I will be stuck with a lemon or anything like that.

S&B used to be phenomenal customer service back 22+ years ago when I worked at the gun store and had to deal with them, but I didn't mess with any of them since, until several years ago, then heard about the warranty going to shit, so I refused to buy one.

FWIW... My dealer had 2 customers come in over the last few days with their intents to purchase ZCO,s. Both looked at the ZCO and various other optics....the DNT included.
Both customers agreed the ZCO was ahead of the DNT optically .. BUT !! not $6000 better.. Both walked out with the DNT..

Cool story bro. It’s been stated, now for the millionth and one time, worth is relative. You were claiming it was just as good. Glass even better than SB. I’m not ragging on the scope, just stating the obvious…it’s not the same, nor better.

So, ironically, the Solus 6.5CM and the new DNT 7-35x56 showed up today... I had a spare set of ARC rings that are one size too low, but it clears enough for me to start some load development. Got it bore-sighted roughly off the foresight from my .25CM (I'm figuring about the same velocities), so I should be pretty close when I go to zero it... We're going to see how well this DNT scope is for $600. Supposedly it's better than one of the new Arken EP5 Gen2 scopes, which is supposed to be much better than the Gen1 EP5 scopes.

First impressions... So far, the glass seems VERY clear and bright for the price (just judging based on a boresight grid on a solid white background). But ran out of daylight to take it outside to see if I could glass some things and see how it looks outside. I'll find out this weekend. So far, turrets feel like the Arken EP5's I had...Not that impressive, lots of spring-back, but still solid and repeatable and tactile with smooth loud clicks. This new TOR reticle is not available in the Arkens, but is VERY similar to a NF MIL-XT reticle, which I am a big fan of. That's what I have in my ATACR F1 5-25x56.

Also, last pic is my Surefire alignment rod in the 6.5CM with an OCL Hydrogen-S 6.5mm suppressor, and it's dead-center. Aero does know how to cut some concentric barrel threads, I'll give them that. All of my factory Solus barrels have been dead-nuts on the muzzle threads.

Arrived today from camera land NY. Seems similar to other reports. Turrets feel like my Arken 5-25 which I happen to like. I figured it was worth a try for my 22.
