Are they worth all the hype???
We have 1 that is supposed to be opening in a couple years a few miles from us, right off I64 in Eastern Virginia.
It’s still gas station food, it’s just BBQ. The sandwiches are lukewarm, the bread is soggy, and all the flavor comes from the sauce.

I don't know if it's "worth it", but it's always cool place to go with clean bathrooms, tasty-poor-nutrition foods, deer corn, and interior decorations 😋

The man has a point. If you are going to one of these establishments for fine dining or dialed-in nutrition you are sadly mistaken or stupid. But if you want gas, cheap food that so wrong it makes your inner hillbilly happy and enough white trash NASCAR type bullshit to make a trailer park whore scream with joy then this is your happy place.

I have never had a problem with the food or the vibe because I knew what the offerings were and proceeded accordingly, did what I needed to do and got out. The only drawback are the other clients that seem to consistently have a BMI north of 40% and an IQ of less than 70. I think there is a good amount of Waffle House crossover.

My Goodman, made about 20 miles from here, has been great for 22 years now. I've replaced a blower motor and that's it.
Yeah, but like almost all the brands that were good once, the torch passes back and forth. Plus, older units were still built well with not much tech other than a capacitor and compressor. Now, the government mandated changes and efficiency requirements require motherboards, two-stage blowers and compressors and all other circuitry.

Notice that almost all now come with limited 5-year warranties and are expected to require replacement around eight years.

Keep your old good one.
I’d like extra cheese with mine, thank you. 😊

Yes and no. It depends on the day of the week and the time of day. Go at the wrong time, and the parking lot, as well as inside the store is a mad house. One of the originals is in Madisonville, Texas on I-45. We occasionally drive down to Surfside Beach, Texas in the summer. That Buccees is going to be extremely busy all day long.

The best thing Buccees has going for it is the ethanol free gas. I make a special stop at the new one in Melissa, TX just to get my gasoline jugs filled up. And, inside there are lots of things a guy can use. Beer, food, fishing tackle, t-shirts, ball caps, and Lodge cast iron.

They do have the cleanest public bathrooms in the U.S.
