Shoulda read here first…….

I think he is worried about the upper left corner of the magwell and it looks like the final qc felt there was a need to remove some finish and maybe metal removal for mag alignment. Glad they check the function, Village Idiot needs to listen to Begera, recognize this is a production rifle, learn to use punctuation and quit drunk posting. Good luck :ROFLMAO:

So this is probably not going to get you to receive the input that you are looking for. Might as well walk into a Black Panther party and start dropping N-bombs.

From what I see: It looks like there is some anodizing missing on the finish of your magwell? How does it feed? If it feeds fine, you purchased a mid-tier factory rifle...you can expect that attention to detail on the inside of small parts to be a little less than what you'll see with a TacOps.

From what I've read: If your complaint to Bergara is full of the same colorful language and spelling as well as lacking the same basic grammar and punctuation... Well, all I can say is that I'm not surprised you were blown off. I've seen more coherent writing on cardboard signs held by dudes with three teeth at an intersection, than the abominations your dick-skinners have produced thus far.

Bwaaaahhhaaaaahhhaaaahhhhhhh

I am OCD as fuck about my stuff, but that I would hit with a Sharpie and call it good since no one but you will ever see it.
Ah, a little bottle of cold blue from Brownells would do the job….as if the job actually needs to be done. lol.

And still no response from the OP about function. FFS

You really need to take a step back and realize what you are bitching about. Did you expect that a factory volume production rifle was going to have the finish of a vintage premium custom?

Your expectation is unfounded for a firearm of this type. You’ll likely find little to no sympathy from anybody that actually uses their rifle. If you had just purchased a custom action for what you paid for that whole rifle, I imagine we could see your point.

Right now you’re just tilting at windmills.

Good luck with your rifle. Now take it out and actually shoot it. Use it for what it’s intended.

Yeah! And don't try to get on Lash's bad side.
He's waiting on a hurricane and is probably running out of scotch and cee-gars.
He could be in a bad mood. 🤣
Sorry to hear of your predicament Lash. Good luck with the storm, and good luck with the emergency supplies (Booz and Smokes) you may need it.
As for chubby the idiot, he is probably sleeping off a bad drunk or cleaning his bedroom before his mom gets home.

They machined the action, I assume to match up with the magazine, after the receiver was finished initially. I'd assuming that's the complaint? Perhaps they know the finish would just wear off there anyway, and this way it's a cleaner look.

Yeah, and we’d need to see other b14 actions to even begin to know if what you have is a fluke.

Their Premier line smokes the B14 btw. But in that line it seems like Bergara is retreating down to only a few models, and I read that they discontinued their rebarreling program. That line does has interchangeable boltheads.

Frustrating when you get NIB firearm with a blemish.
But it appears that is all this is.

I don't know if you have aluminum or steel but there are touch up kits for iether.

After badmouthing the manufacturer your ass may be hanging in the breeze.

I have a mouth and temper and blow up if I think I'm getting a raw deal so since you are supposed to be mature in your actions by the time your my age (66) I came up with a plan.

I write a draft and have my wife moderate it and then I make sure it's not wishy washy.

She gets handed the phone often when speaking to support for example, it's better for everyone.

LOL

Now back to regular scheduled huricane watching and MF Milton.

If Lash aint stocked enough for a little storm like yall got coming, he might be as goofy as the OP!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I think that I’ll be okay in that department, though I am anticipating getting that bottle of Buffalo Trace Mike picked up for me. That’s assuming he doesn’t run out himself and crack the seal on it first. 😂🤣

You should have put this in the pit if that's your delivery.

Your just bloviating, you don't want to hear anything but yourself.

So pit it should be. This is tech.

Since this is tech. That could be any number of reasons..
It's aluminum. Who cares? It's a Bergara not a 1500 dollar action. They probably bulk coat them and then do some final assembly and fitment/check.
Hit it with a marker. If you actually use it, there's gonna be scratches and finish wear that will blend with that.

Looks like a factory rifle, doesn't affect anything , stick a mag in it and you'll never see it. :)

My mother bought me an Ithaca 49 partially to try and get me out of the dumps after the sudden loss of my father. I’ve only had it since 1964. The finish is kind a spotty on the receiver. I complained to Ithaca and they say it’s normal wear. I say it’s defective and I wan them to goto Ithaca New York, dig up the old machining, open up the production line and make me a new one.

Should I sue or just go to my room and pout?

(Actaully shot the little gun the other day and after all these r years it can still put a .22lr 40 grain bullet on target out to 75 yards. Sweet little martini action, still extracts and ejects just like it’s supposed too. Damn fine little rifle. Every young man, south of the Mason Dixon and is a country boy should have one.). Yes it really is 60 years old. Yes the finish is spotty but heck, it shoots and that is what it’s supposed to do.
