Since you phags couldn’t help yourself and had to booger up my 308W thread with your 6.5 nonsense I nuked it and started this. And this time in the Pit.

Been running a 260 since APA rebranded or named. All around rifle for deer and a little precision. Built a match 6.5x47. No need for a 6.5 Creedmoor. No need for me to 6.5 Creedmoor, 260 is faster, 6.5x47 is a touch refined. I can sure see why a lot of people run 6.5 Creedmoor. Speaking of that I have 1000 cases to prep for 260 and 6.5x47......LOL.

Always in to buy more ammo.... also in for a vote on the 7 SAC, necked up 6.5 Creedmoor. It's a deer smasher with 140s from a compact 18" gun. And in for a 6.5 grendel for the kids learning to deer hunt in a chassis with adjusable LOP AR 15 stock. All manbun bullshit aside I use the 6.5 Creedmoor a lot for deer and yotes and it does very well with cheaper components/powder banging steel on the 1000 yard range where I dont want to put miles on my ELR barrel.

Starting loading/shooting 260 Ackley Improved after reading an article many moons ago by our own @Terry Cross ... Maybe around 2006 or so? Back then the only good brass to be had was 243 Lapua necked up & inside reamed to remove the "doughnut" & there was no Creedmoor yet. Saw no reason to try the Creedmoor when it came out since it didn't do anything better than 260 in a bolt gun. Had at least 4 rifles in 260 (including a SH Valkyrie build for the long time members that might remember them) and a 260 barrel for my old AXMC. Still some of the best shooting rifles I've owned to date. Had 2 Tikka Creedmoors and they were ok but not the hammers any of my 260s were (to be fair they also didn't have custom barrels either). Shit, guess I'm gonna have to order a 260 barrel for my Solus build now too...

How much of a difference is there between the PRC and SAUM? That has to only be like 10gr or so, right?
