6mm Creedmoor & 110 SMK

22" 7.5 twist with a supressor
Hornady Brass
46 gr RL26
.080" jump
3002 FPS
6.1 SD
15 ES
Shot it to 900 today ....it seems unfair.
What is your free bore? I'm gonna give RE26 a try. Any suggestions where to start with charge weight? I'm running a 6 creed with 110 smk and .136 free bore with alpha brass.

I just got a 26" 6 Creedmoor barrel from PVA. Using 110 SMK with .010" jump. Virgin Lapua 6 CM brass. CCI 450.

44.0 H1000: 2815 SD 6
45.0 H1000: 2887 SD 8

Accuracy not very good with either load.

Has anyone had any luck with H1000 and 6 CM? I'm wondering if I should jump straight to 47.0 grains or just switch powder. I'm trying to stay on the slower burning side so I don't burn the barrel out too quick.

I've been running H4350 in 2 6 Creedmoor barrels with the 110s and getting good results but much faster than your loads. 42.3gr (Hornady cases, BR2 primers) in a 26" 7.5 twist Hawkhill was giving me 3050 fps until about 900 rounds in. Been steady around 3000 since (at 1450 rds now). 42.2gr (Prime cases necked down, BR2 primers) in a 26" 8 twist Hawkhill is giving me 3100 fps and I'm at about 400 rds now.

I have a 26" 7.5 twist from PVA for my Nucleus that I'll be putting together as soon as the trigger turns up, going to try 110s with H4350 again and also try some H4831SC to see.

What chamber did you go with from PVA?

Here's a few updates:

Pushed up to 45.2 H4831sc. No pressure signs but SD went to shit over 45.0. If I were to use this powder, I would run 44.9 which yields me 3040fps. Lapua brass, 26" barrel, 8 twist.

Yesterday I tried H4350, only 3 shots per load.
40.4: 2970 SD:2
40.6: 2970 SD:3
40.8: 3000 SD:5
41.0: 3022 SD:2
41.2: 3030 SD:3

Accuracy was spectacular on several, but they were only 3 shot groups. I think I have a node at 2970 and another at 3020. I'm thinking of pushing up to 41.8 grains next trip to see if I can find another node.

ETA: Lapua brass has significantly less case capacity than Hornady and I would not recommend basing loads off Hornady brass load data.

I friend was shoot his the same day. Also Lapua brass 1-7 criterion barrel. 0 round count before today (mine was at 40). I think his barrel is chambered for factory ammo and probably has a longer threat. His loads were about 80 fps slower than mine. Not sure if due to throat, twist, or break in. Probably combination of factors.

Try pushing to 3085 +/- 10 fps. Just about every 6mm ive shot has had a node right around this fps. Multiple charge weightsn cartridges and diff bbl lengths. Something about that speed.

So my load with 110s I bought early last year shot great. .2 MOA with SD of 2.

However I bought a new lot of bullets and they are shooting like crap. Bullet dimensions are off. Length to ogive is .010” shorter. There is no carbon ring.

My previous jump of .010 is not working (I did reduce oal) to match. Any suggestions on jump for 110s?

Try a really deep seating depth with these new matchings.
Im finding that I have to do seating depth testing first and then ladder testing, and many of the new matchings like close to 0.100" jump
Has anyone tried Hybrid 100V with a 110 or 108eld. Also has anyone tried the nosler 105 RDFs

I’ve had really good results with the 110 and 4350. I’m running a nucleus with a 26" criterion prefit, 41.5 gr of 4350, loaded with a 0.070" jump. I’m getting 3010 ft/sec and an SD of 6, shooting right around 0.4 moa at 100 yds. I shot the loads out to 1000 yds last week with great results.

Loaded up 110s over 38 to 41gr of 4350 and hope to see how they do today.

I was recommended trying a slower powder to help barrel life, any suggestions?

Thanks for all the info guys. Just got myself a new 6mm creedmoor 26” proof stainless barrel, bighorn TL3 action.

Virgin Lapua SRP brass
Remington 7.5 primers
39.1 gr RL16
110 SMK .060 off the lands
2925 FPS
SD 4
ES 12
5-shot groups around .4-.5”

Just curious what’s your oal on the round can you still fit in ai mag? Having one built and trying to decide between .126 fb or .183

If running 110s in a standard AICS mag go .126.

110 oal touching lands was 2.910. To fit in an aics i have to jump about 0.060. I was running my 110s exclusively through AW mags so it wasnt an issue.

107smk is 2.782 oal to touch lands
105rdf is 2.785 oal to touch lands

New barrel, 28in mcgowan and with ~80rd thru it, shooting a tad slow imo

41.2gr of 4350 gets me 2900fps area, had hoped that area would net me 2950 area

you will likely gain some more speed in a couple more rounds. I've had barrels break in at as little as 80 rounds and sometimes as high as 150. I'd shoot it some more and see, I believe you will be in or above the area you are hoping to be at.

Loaded 100rd with 39gr which was showing the best SD/ES at the time, 2816fps avg and gonna see how she does this weekend.

Just picked up my howa barreled action. These have the traditional deeper freebore so I’ll be loading up somebody 110’s in alpha brass with 4350. Thanks for the data here I have a decent starting point it seems. These like to jump so I’ll be starting at .050-.060” jump.

How much of the 110 MK is making it in the case neck for you guys?

I have a Proof CF pre-fit on a Tikka action, and around .020 jump I think I was like .160 or more to get the bearing surface of the bullet down to the neck/shoulder junction.

Working on some loads and seating for 110SMK's right now. RPR barrel (1:7.7)

Have also been testing 115DTAC's as well. They ran good in my last RPR barrel.

Updates to follow.

Just got back.

RPR 6 Creed
Low round factory barrel (recently installed)
38.0g H4350
Starline brass
Federal GM210M Large Rifle Match
Shot both 115 DTAC's and 110 SMK's
5 sets of 5 shot groups
115's: 2812fps (avg.)
110's: 2831fps (avg.)
Increased jump from touch to about .002-.005 jump. Much improved.
