I’ll just add that if you are unsure how to compare durability, then in that price range virtually every scope will meet your durability needs.
We're all hard on our stuff. That's not what I mean. I can tell you about the durability of all the scopes I own. But that's not the info I'm after.
I'm sorry to resurrect this thread. At the range this past weekend I got behind a 12x SWFA and I was very impressed with it. Optic was bright and clear, and it adjusted very well. It was only on a 22-250 but I imagine it would hold up to much larger cartridges without complaining.I hunt, so I like my little SWFA 6x42 fixed with mil quads. Excellent reticle. Very good glass. Bomb proof. Dials reliably. Holds and returns to zero.
They are on all my rifles, from 22LR to 30.06, with the exception of my little Tikka T3X .223, which sports an SWFA 3-9 mil quad FFP. Course the AR has a T1, but it's for "gunfightin".
I’ve had a Tract Toric 4-20 for a couple of years now. With the exception of a slightly tight eye box I love it. I use it for my clubs F class matches. The only direct comparison I have is with my training partners Razor Gen II 4.5-27 I think it is and to my eye the Tract is better in every way except for the eyebox. My training partner was very impressed. He hasnt bought one yet but he is on a deputies budget so not a poor but not able to get what he wants anytime without his family concerns making him really be sure it’s what he wants to do financially. Would I buy one again. Absolutely.

Unlike the Swaro #FOVgate patent, at least Leupold’s turret lock patent appears to be a novel take on a lock. So I don’t mind.
I'm right there with you levi - ZP5 5-25x56 was revolutionary. Glass that punched way above its price point (in same ways better if not just behind TT) with one of the best reticles in the MR4 when it first came to market and a weight under 34oz making it feasible as a crossover scope. Yes, Minox had some QC issues early on and you had to send scopes to Germany for warranty work but outside of that, one of my all time favorites.
