concealed carry choice

Just took the required CCW training and waiting on my license but just picked up a Sig P365X and will be using a Smartcarry to start. Im a Glock fan and wanted to like the G43x/G48 but the Sig just felt better in the hand.
I'm tall but smaller frame otherwise I might consider carrying a Commander sized 1911 or my G22 with Holosun.

Commander size 1911 was my CCW for almost 20 years; loved it:

Towards the end of me carrying that Defender every day, or if I was feeling fancy while wearing a coat, I’d sometimes swap it out for a New Agent in an OWB holster:

My brother now has that New Agent, and I occasionally carry the Defender when I’m feeling nostalgic.

I still love my 1911s, especially in .45ACP, but better bullet design since the late ‘80s has made a 9mm the no-brainier choice for CCW…for me anyway. A lot more capacity in the same size package, with very similar performance.

Let the flame wars begin! 😝

Carried a 1911 for thirty years IWB. Just use good leather. 1911 is thin and smooth. I'm old and count Clint Smith and Pat Rogers as mentors. Having said that, now it's a G48.
G19-2 for a bunch of years, then a 21-2, onto a 5" Colt for a while, a BHP, a dozen years with a Delta Elite, now sporting a G19x.

Started out with a G22 in a AG Cloak Tuck at 4:30. Thst worked for about 4 years then I moved to a desk job and one of my coworkers saw it when my shirt got pulled up by my chair. She told another employee (who just so happened to be a retired Cali cop) and he emailed corporate. After a sit down with the branch manager I switched to a 19 clone and started carrying AIWB. About a year ago my state banned spooky guns so I again had to switch. Now I carry a P10c/TLR7; still AIWB.

G26 with +2 extensions,G36 and S&W Shield. Depends on the time of year and what I’m wearing or if I’m really trying to conceal. AWB in the G26 and Shield unless it’s winter time. Then for church I carry G26 in a cross draw. Easier to draw when sitting in pews at church. Shield and G36 behind the hip owb in very nice leather holsters. Carry at least one spare mag for all. In leather mag carries.

340 PD ...lovin it CC ...hating it shooting magnums
Yeah its pointless stoking it with magnums but you know you a pussy right? LOL Just kidding....its brutal! I can do it but i'm more seasoned nowadays that the 38+P Speer 135JHP is more than enough to take down 2 legged varieties but not so much 4 legged animals. That is why the Colt Python Combat Elite works for me. With a good belt and holster I don't have any issues with carrying a full day.

Lyman 358429 cast bullet crimped in the crimp groove in 38 special brass over a book max charge of unique has great penetration. I’ve carried that load forever.

The 340 gets to the range maybe 4 times a year ,i join my wife with her practicing with what used to be my 2.5 python . I run some 38 special through the 340 then 357 magnums till it hurts . CC and desk duty is always loaded with hornady critical defense 125 gr JHP 357 magnum same when i CC the python and night stand duty . I just prefer the 340 @ 13 oz loaded but i sometimes treat myself with the snake .

Said carry.
A mustache like that absolutely demands a 629.

P365X-Macro w/TLR-7 & RMRcc
TRex Sidecar w/ extra 20rd TTI extended mag.
I chopped an additional Macro grip to XL length so I don’t have to change holsters if I want something a little more compact in the summer. 17rd mags carry comfortably, but the 12rd mags absolutely disappear under even form-fitting tshirts.
