I carry a 629-1 2.5” in a OWB Don Hume when need arise especially in the in the WV mountain fishing. Ian not a fan of IWB and personally couldn’t care if someone seen me packing heat but not yet as I do properly wear the right shirts to cover up.
The IWB was purchased after snagging the regular hip holster on too much brush when hunting. Always seem to be chasing a “better” carry method.

Said carry.
Looks like a painful challenge to sit.....anyplace and more of fatal delay to quick draw in your car but I bet it will get ya trespassed at a florida wallymart lol . Don't get me wrong I would like to carry my zap m70 using the israeli combat sling but it aint anti-carjacking practical . SW 340 PD 357 IWB appendix carry checks all the boxes for this old fudd

I’ve literally walked out of a Walmart restroom, in Florida , with my shirt hung on the grip and no one noticed. Did the same in a McDonalds, again in Florida. That time I waited in the parking lot for the cops as I was certain someone noticed. Left after 20 minutes. Very few people have a clue of what is outside their own bubble. This includes many cops.

I tend to notice who is carrying when they make it obvious , I do not want anyone to know i am carrying and i would rather not be the beta test dummy for the police lol ....I also have a weapons permit

My rig is more for hunting than CCW. I’m
still searching for a good chest rig to work with that pistol, binoculars and a DSLR.

Terrible customer pic, but I’ve done them to be adjustable from “just above chest waders”, to this semi cross-draw below the bino pack but still usable with a backpack.

Is that illegal in FL?

In AZ, open carry has been around longer than me, forever I believe. Concealed for at least 40 years AFAIK. For a while, you had to carry open or concealed. If you "exposed" your CC weapon, you could *theoretically* be charged with brandishing. Never heard of it happening. Quite some time ago, this was eliminated. And since then, we have gone to constitutional carry with no permit or even residency required. Seeing someone carrying a weapon...in downtown Phoenix...is a non-event.

I was at the grocery the other day and saw a guy in camo and a suppressed Glock on his thigh. Yawn...

I carry, and hear me out, a Taurus GX4 because... If shoot someone with my Nighthawk Counselor and it has to go in an evidence locker (To be mistreated and finger fucked) I'm going to be sad. My GX4? It's my tackle box gun. If I drop it in the river? Meh.

Depends on the definition of "improper display" of a firearm as interpreted by the LEO investigating the call. They have a bit of discretion. So, in anti-gun counties/districts, you might have some difficulties.

As for my particular Wally World, well, they don't actually "prohibit" the carry of firearms but they strongly request/urge one to keep it concealed. One might only have a problem if they get SWATed by a Wal-mart Karen or something. I've done many a "Wally Walk" without difficulty. Of course, totally concealed, but...

I tend to avoid places that require me to go “naked.” A Walmart would be a hard pass. I rarely visit one. Just about often enough to remind myself why I stay away.

Law specifically covers unintentional display versus brandishing, but I suspect it will largely depend on the cop. I live in a pretty conservative area.
Vagaries with interpretation is the reason it was eliminated in AZ. Now it matters not...
Brandishing is now an overt act.

Arizona restrictions:

•Businesses serving alcohol for consumption on the premises (exceptions for peace officers and
ccw permitees, see A.R.S. 4-229, A.R.S. 4-244, A.R.S. 13-3102)
•Polling places on election days (peace officers are excepted)
•K-12 school grounds (some exceptions apply) (peace officers are excepted)
•Commercial nuclear & hydroelectric generating stations (peace officers are excepted)
•Military installations
•Indian reservations (check w/tribe, laws specific to them)
•Game preserves
•Correctional facilities
•Federal buildings (peace officers are limited)
•Airports beyond security checkpoints
•Where federal, state or local laws prohibit weapons (peace officers are limited)
•State or local government/private establishments or events when asked by the
operator/sponsor/agent. Most government facilities will provide a location to temporarily store a
firearm. Persons who refuse to leave and/or secure their weapon are trespassing and can be
cited or arrested for ARS 13-1502 or ARS 13-1503, depending on the venue (peace officers are
excepted)

It is NOT REQUIRED to honor a no weapons sign. If asked to leave, you must or can be charged with tresspassing. Just don't open carry...

Walmart doesn't require you to "go naked." In fact, they want you to stay fully clothed and have no "wardrobe malfunctions."

At least, it works that way at mine. And their signage reflects that. They caution you to "stay concealed." They are aware of the numbers of people who carry in FL, and they want to accommodate them while keeping things "safe."

When my wife had her 1st appointment with her oncologist, an intern came in 1st doing all the poking & prodding.

No idea why she was feeling all the way down each of her legs, but when she got to the ankle holster, she froze. Then excused herself and slowly backed out of the room! :ROFLMAO:

Our 2 wallymarts [panama city beach] have no signage about weapons that i have seen ,one store i always carry the other everyone smiles at you. I have only seen and obliged a no weapons sign at a health care facility . My LGS /indoor range the powder room has a sign that encourages carrying of firearms inside but restricts ammo in a classroom .

we got 2 in panama city beach that are night and day 10 miles apart

Yeah. That tends to be the pattetn. When we lived in FWB, the wife would drive 8-10 miles the the Navarre Walmart. The FWB store was about three miles from our house. Its the same here. Two stores about five miles apart. One is ghetto. The other is clean and has a completely different clientele.

I’ve been in one of the PCB stores. As recall, it must have been the better one.

The rule for establishments that sell alcohol is different.
I can go into my local Outback and have a meal. Nothing in the rule book says I can't have a drink either. (I know there are laws that address being intoxicated and handling/possessing weapons)

What I can't do, is go into the bar area, even if I'm just having dinner at the bar or a high table. (Makes zero sense to me, but whatever)

The kicker is, to get to the restroom, you have to pass through the bar area.

Hmmmm.

My take on it is, shhhhh. No-one gotta know.

P365xl with a standard frame, 10 round mag with mag guts internals so it holds 12, Vedder holster AIWB, extra 12 round mag in a NeoMag. Used to carry my suppressed 22 MKII while bow hunting, but I carry the 365 in a holster under my marsupial gear Bino pouch. Getting more and more mountain lion pictures where I deer hunt here in Kansas.
I carried a S&W 1911PD at 4:30 for years, still carry it some in the winter.

In Az, you can go to a bar or anywhere that serves carrying if you have the state CCW permit. Without it, the restrictions are the same as FL. It is convenient, as I play in several pool leagues, all in bars. And I don't drink, so it works

iirc in fla its what % of income from food vs booze that allows you to carry in a place that serves booze .......don't tell n don't swell it [print] no drama . They also relaxed via court case the rules of carrying on USPS property but i aint gonna be the test dummy on that . I once asked the RSO at my public outdoor range about CC while posting targets on the rifle range and she said as long as she doesn't see it openly and she does notice or she is checkin me out lol . Look CC aint rocket science just use common sense concealing and protecting the weapon and just for the record i would not vote for open carry nor would i vote against open carry but i would not open carry if passed.

I carry an M&P40 daily OWB around here on the ranch and at the clinic. It has been beat to hell, but still works perfectly and shoots well.

I carry a P-01 in a nice two-tone leather OWB to church on Sundays.

I carry a 637 in my pocket for all the places that are posted for no firearms, but doesn't have a metal detector with police checking.

In fla it can be considered displaying ,they use the word printing and might get a little counseling from a cop ....now if a karen calls , you go full i know my rights, and a cop in a bad mood all bets are off

Especially in certain "anti-gun" counties/districts, like Pinellas, or Palm Beach or Miami-Dade, or Broward, etc. etc. etc. In central/northern Fl it's not as bad. But just be careful.
