Hello All,

I'm getting ready to pick up an ASXR next week, and I've seen reports of the 300 Win Mag magazines not feeding well. I talked to the fine folks at MH, and they said they could adjust the mags if they didn't feed. Is there a high-quality and reliable alternative to AI mags? I need to pick up a couple, and I'd rather buy something that works without having to mail it back to be fixed.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

If you're buying from MH and they can tune all your mags, then that's one way to go.

Another way is in this thread:

I don't know if Jason is still offering this service, but all 3 of my mags he tuned and swapped followers work great. When he fixed mine, he also sold additional mags at his cost + the cost of the tune up.

Here's @PerformanceWeapons contact info in case he doesn't check this forum as often

Thank you for the recommendation. Yes, we are still offering this service and we do these on a semi-regular basis. AI doesn't seem to be interested in a factory-level fix at this time.

We've also had interest in solving a different problem with 7 PRC. This round is much shorter and the issue is the rounds move forward during feeding which then get caught under the receiver. A binder plate would solve this issue, however, the magazines would be limited to 7 PRC only.

Do you have these plates available?
