Hey guys I am swapping out a BA barrel for a Krieger on my MK18 SPR.

Problem: 16” barrel (it’s the only length I can get my hands on right now for a really good price) and a 16” handguard don’t exactly mix when I am using a plan B mount and cherry bomb on a converted SDN6

Solution: maybe find a muzzle device that moves the suppressor forward? Or some other type of solution.

I'm not familiar with that cans dimensions so I'm no help.

These are always an option on the handguard.

Your only option is cut the handguard or run a longer barrel. I would do the former. I think 16" barrels are the sweet spot of do it all. Find a guy with a local mill, or use the hacksaw and carefully file after. Spray it black or even better rattle can the gun.

Kaw Valley Precision makes barrel extenders, as well as other mfg's. 3/4", 1" and 1-1/4" are common. Don't know how precise they would be for suppressor alignment.

or use the hacksaw and carefully file after.
I was half joking when I quoted the hacksaw picture. A regular old miter saw with a wood blade will happily cut a handguard. I've cut a ton of aluminum with mine, you've just gotta have a solid hold of the aluminum so it doesn't catch and make a mess of things.
Used a miter saw and table saw to take 1/2" off this one and add the bevels for brake backblast clearance.

I’d wait for an 18” barrel. If you’re going to have the length anyways, you might as well get the benefit of more velocity and a RLGS. Also, running some weird adapter isn’t exactly stacking the odds in your favor that you’ll experience the accuracy a Krieger can produce. Either way, I hope it works out for you.

Rearden makes good stuff, I’m sure you will be happy with it.

Another option would be the LPM pin annd weld eclipse flashhider. It is a plan b mount and has extended threads on the back to make it longer without making go further into the can.

thanks to all you dremel warriors but i am not gonna cut my 400$ rail system.
Lol, you're the guy that went and spent big money on a HG and barrel in lengths that are well known to be incompatible, and now you want the internet to solve the problem you created with no sarcastic or questionable answers. Good luck with that.

I was hoping to get some advice, which I did get from some knowledgeable users on here. So thanks for your contributions. It was an easy solution actually. Just seeking out knowledge on different products that are made.

Hope this would be of benefit to others down the road.

And also big money is not 400$*

I am not a gun plumber, and it seems silly when the the option is out there. Which is already being solved just waiting on the parts to come in. So now this is information for someone’s else if they run into the same
    Issue.

But your input is valuable and treasured.
