Looking for some real world experience/comparison with the Beyond Clothing A7D and the Outdoor Research Collosus coats.

I currently have a Kuiu Super Down Pro.. so if you've used one and can compare.. Bonus.

I need something for SubArctic and Low Arctic operations within our camouflage pattern. I know.. OR doesn't make OCP, but it will be alright.

Other suggestions welcome. OCP or MC

I am looking at Beyond Clothing. That's one of the two specific coats I'm currently looking at. Their A7D. I just cannot get hands on one where I'm currently at... looking for feedback from folks who have used either or both.

To the previous.. not an option. MC or OCP. We've got an over white already.

Trust me when I say you will have no worries when it comes to beyond clothing.

Spray paint the overwhites or smock over everything. Or you can start with a fishtail or night desert parka. You can wear over street or civvy clothes or nothing but a naughty nighty -- and blend.

Parachute Regiment suited up for the Suez combat jump. A smock can cover lots of layers.

You can get a GI Level 7 Happy Suit in grey or Marine Brown.

If your heart's set on a Multicam Beyond A7 there's one on ebay right now for $250.

Just trying to help.

This is a sniping forum. You're asking for something in a specific camouflage pattern but the item you're wearing now is commercial (I'm assuming non-OCP/MC).

If you're in a work position it should be issued. You're asking for input on commercial off-the-shelf items for SubArctic and Low Arctic. From your profile, is that Michigan or closer to the Arctic Circle (i.e. Canada or Alaska)?

If work's not paying for it I spotted the A7 on ebay for less than a quarter of the price for new.

I don't have experience with Kuiu -- but I have worked sub-zero dry-cold (both Alaska and Canada).

This forum is frequented by guys with experience outside of the Sniper community and I had hoped to catch someone who had used either coat or both coats in the environment specified.

Something in the specific pattern(s) was the requirement. The Kuiu I mentioned was as a reference point/comparison - I am not wearing that for work.

It is truly just feedback on either of those two items or a comparable recommendation (in the specified patterns) that I am after, in relation to other items that are available or frequently used in said environment.
