I am setting up a 10" pistol in 300 BLK. It will shoot subsonic EXCLUSIVELY.
1) What weight buffer do I need???
2) Do I need an adjustable gas block??
3) what else am I forgetting??
This is a DI set up, not a piston.

What @wvfarrier and @Runnineh said! H2 buffer for sure. The gas block does not "need" to be adjustable...but it is nice to have! I have one on my 300BLK SBR...and while I shoot mainly subsonic (~95%), the ~5% supersonic I do shoot only requires 1 click change for SOME of the supersonic ammo, that I have.

Most of my ammo (both sub & super) cycles the rifle without any changes to the gas block.

Thanx guys. I have a 16" Whisper, but this is my first path down the short barrel pistol brace road. It will be subs 100% of the time, if I want to go super I'll reach for the 16".

I just e-filed for the can - I'm guessing 10 weeks into a trust

I don’t really understand why you wouldn’t always go with an adjustable gas block. Seems like cheap insurance.
In theory an adjustable gas block introduces an additional point of failure. A properly gassed 300 BLK shouldn't need one to run reliably with subs or supers... I have a 10.5" and 16" Noveske with pistol gas and they come with a pinned non adjust block. They run 100% with every combination from subsonic unsuppressed to supersonic suppressed.

don’t cheap out and buy a good quality adjustable gas block. Then you won’t have to worry about a point of failure. I’ve run thousands of rounds through my Superlative Arms and Riflespeed gas blocks and have not one had an issue.

I don't know the barrel maker and port size. A buddy gave this too me with a bunch of Black Rain parts/receiver and asked if I could put it together. He was then killed in a M/C crash. I can measure the port, but that is as far as I can go.
I just ordered a Banish 30 for this and other guns.
