I was told that in accuracy generally the barrel is 90% and the action 10%. Thats addressing only those two, not triggers or other factors and assuming comparable and decent equipment.

    Thoughts on that?

There's a lot more. How the action interfaces with the stock, is the recoil lug contacting and up against the stock or is there room which allows it to move?

Is the action face squared up? Or will the bolt hold the round straight and square into a curved barrel because the barrel does not mate square on the action face?

The chamber and crown are important but I suppose we can throw that in as the barrel.

The chamber to bore needs to be straight. That’s the 90%.
The action should be square to the chamber/bore. That’s the 10%.

Anything else only takes away max potential, it can’t make it straighter.
