We all did this same shit at that age......and we all ended up having to load it and unload it anyway! I'm sure my motivation for actually doing it was a lot different than what it is for kids today.
Gotta tell ya though- I'm hurting. The entire side of my mouth is being held together by nothing more than stitches and what can only be described as 'silly putty' and I already pulled one of the stitches. An Rx for ibuprofen is an absolute joke.
They sell kits for them in the UK... too. The AC Ace that the Cobra was based on was British.
Buddy of mine has one he built in the UK in the 1980's. He didn't have access to a giant 427, so he totally re-engineered the frame to take a V12 out of Jaguar XJS which was cheap and plentiful. Built the most beautiful header set ever. Hotrodded the motor. The thing is insane. You hit the throttle and it sounds like ripping fabric... Gorgeous! You can see it occasionally at car shows around Natick, Ma.
