Rifle Scopes DNT 7-35x56 FFP Riflescopes

Yeah, Tyler makes nice stuff, but for that price, I think the old Arken set I put on there from my EP5 will work. 😂
Arken objective cap (5.600 iirc) was too loose on my DNT shade cover. I even had an old Arken one that was too tight on EP5 but worked, was slightly less in diameter, still wouldn’t fit properly.

It was a tight fit, and it might not be ideal or 100% correct size, but it's locked on there good and doesn't move, which is alright with me. As long as it stays closed and keeps crap from getting on the lenses, I'm good to go.

Had a strange issue with my DNT the other day.

I've had it on my 308 for about 100 rounds then I moved it to my 300winmag, which was it's intended home from the beginning.

Mounted it up in an ADM mount and bore sighted it. Same mount used on the 308. First shot, windage almost dead nut, elavation 2.5 moa low. Okay, not bad. Dialed elavation, sent another one, .5 moa higher and left of my first shot. Clean cold gun, alright, send one more to make sure it's settled down, almost same hole.
Okay we're good to go.

Still 2 moa low, dial up 2, pull the trigger, 2 moa high. Huh ? Send another one. Right beside it. Wtf?
Down 2 moa, send one more, 2 moa low. Okay dial 1 moa up, send another, bullseye. I was getting exactly double what I was dialing, but only with the elavation. Windage was good.

Ran out of ammo and daylight so I packed everything up to head in and that's when I noticed my can was barely tight. I just touched it and it came loose. It wasn't loose loose, but it took almost no effort at all to spin it off. SiCo Omega ran direct thread.

Would that cause my elavation shift like that ? If so, why only elavation ? Windage never moved. Just wild vertical.

I need to load some more ammo and get back out with it.

My suppressor only affects my elevation. So it’s very possible if it was back off it could cause issues. With it being “almost” tight hard to tell. I would redo your procedures amd see what occurs once everything is tight.

I’d shoot it unsuppressed to eliminate that additional variable while checking your scope performance. If still wonky, I’m sure it will be replaced asap as they’re trying to make a market move with this scope IMO.

Considering you just mounted it, I’d look there as a possibility as well. I’ve had issues with turret adjustments that were fixed by loosening one ring at a time and retorquing. Problem solved. Something must have bind when securing the scope the first time. Had this happen twice.

I'll give it a shot.

The dnt did me right last night. Shot south Texas management deer right at dark. He just looked like a shadow standing uphill from us about 250 yards. He blended in good with the brush behind him and at 16x I could still make out good detail on his antlers and body and the image was fairly bright considering what little light we had left and how fast it was fading.

He had started down the hill and was at 238 yards when he caught a 215 hybrid from the winmag.

I’ll trade my DNT 7-35x56 for one of you guy’s Arken 7-35x56 scopes if someone wants to switch out. Pay shipping both ways and it’s yours. Figured I’d throw it out there as it seems some may prefer the DNT .2mil reticle over Arken’s .5mil or think the glass is better.

I commented on that in one of their youtube videos and they said to stay tuned. Whatever that means. The athlon 2-12 could use some competition.

Personally, I'd like to see something like a 4-16x44.

I don't spend nearly the time you guys do behind my rifles and scopes.

What does "offset windage" mean?
Instead of the indicator notch being 90°, they are located higher on the tube for easier line of sight.

Here is an LRP S3. Note the ⭕️ show the offset notches higher on the tube. The red arrows show the typical (normal) placement on most scopes.

That's my only complaint is getting warranty done it goes to the dnt
If you buy it through @gr8fuldoug he takes good care of his customers. Not sure the protocol with DNT, but I’m sure Doug would get you taken care of. He’s even helped others with warranty stuff, who didn’t even buy through him, but because he’s a dealer, was able to get them taken care of. He’s a good dude.

So all bullshit (snobbery) aside would you say the glass on this is usable? And at what magnification does it go to shit, or does it?
Not @Lowlight

The glass on the DNT is more than usable !! The DNT gives a lot of high end scopes a run for their money!! When you factor in the price...well its embarrassing.

From my use....up to 28x is very very good ...upper powers ( 30 -35) are OK but darken a little..

I just got mine mounted and zeroed in a couple days ago. I wear glasses but thought mine looked good until about 30 power. Still usable on 35 it just darkens some. Did a tall target and box test also and it tracked great. So far im super happy with my DNT One. Hopefully can get out in the next couple days and get it sighted in out thru 1000 yds.

@Im2bent

Same assessment with mine. From 7x to 25-28x the glass is nice, above that it starts to darken and degrade IQ somewhat, but still extremely useable up to 35x.

Oh, I went out too on Saturday, zeroed up the Thermal TNC635R, what a fun optic
View attachment 8570558
It switches with a button to day and thermal, you can scan with thermal, find a heat source, button the digital, ID it, and whack it.

I have footage I have to get off the unit

Those are real nice! Probably my next optic purchase in the new year.
