Zermatt Arms Matterhorn Review

Dude, its a chassis. 10 minute review, 5 minutes drinking water and 45 minutes banging hookers.

Seriously though, saw it was an hour long and have way better things to do with my life, 15-20 minutes tops. Every bolt in that thing gets 4 minutes?
Thank fuck you freed up your valuable time to be a dick...... Well done champ

Hating on a thorough review…. Maybe you don’t have the time, but no reason to be a dick about it.

I want to live in a world where a long video, that I’m not forced to watch, is the biggest issue I have to worry about.

Lol it’s cool you dont have to watch it. But people do want information on it and I like to be as thorough as possible to those who are considering buying it have all the information they need.

That's what they appear to be. I would think they are removable. It would be silly to glue them on.

Here's my thoughts:
Why bother with the chassis if you don't like the look of it or the Woox?
There are plenty of other chassis that should fit your needs without needing to modify it.

For me, I would love to have one with some AAA Claro slapped on there.
I just can't afford it.

I mean that what they are right? Skins? It looks like they are removable.
Yea they offer different colors for the panels. Maybe something that’s a different material is cool, but I’ve seen a couple of these painted multicam that look cool.
I actually really like the look as is but different strokes for different folks.

You stretched that message into an hour? No wonder that other guy gave you beef.
Lol no there’s actual information in my reviews. I don’t do 10 minute table tops. Most of the time those aren’t fully honest and hardly any real usage of the product. If a $1700+ purchase isn’t worth an hour of your time that’s fine. Go buy one and try it for yourself and see if you like it.

It's a strange position to take, most people don't have an hour to spend on a single video. Simultaneously, this chassis doesn't appear to be catching on. Generally an executive summary in the thread is the compelling reason to watch the video. Instead you're convincing members not to watch it. Well okie dokie then,

You’re complaining about someone else doing a video review. You have enough time to respond on snipershide, what else do you have going on?

Did you read the original post? Covertnoob5 asked what everyone thinks of his video. And yes, I have other things going on. An hour long video about an unpopular product is a hard sell without some basic commentary.

Whoa, my drunk self sitting on the pot really riled you up. I was just trying to waste 5-10 minutes. 15 and my legs go to sleep. If your not careful about that "way to go champ" stuff you're about to start inflating my head. I guess its true, you really do turn out more like your mother....

Fixed it for you too.

Lol I don’t care if you watch it or not. Those who want to will and those who don’t won’t. Makes no difference to me. I just put the information out there. I’m not a salesman.

You asked for "Let me know what you guys think" if you don't want to know then don't ask. It’s an hour long review of a chassis? Cmon man.
I was asking what you guys think about the chassis not how or the style in which I make my videos. Don’t like it or only have 15 minutes cool then move on. Doesn’t make a difference to me.

Using the Youtube chapter feature would be awesome but I like long reviews. Most 10 minute tabletop reviews are reading off a feature/spec description and saying "I like it". Much rather get one long in depth review than have to slog through ten different 5 minute videos of someone trying to sell me the product without actually contributing anything.

YouTube has the ability (not on TV apps) to change the speed. 1.5x isn't too bad. Youtube even recently implemented 0.05x increments.

I have watched all of his videos. He goes into great depth on things that you can tell he has spent time with the chassis and scopes.

Most of the time for your videos @Covertnoob5 I think Im at minimum 1.25x.

Also this is the complete review. He did a 13 minute initial impression video 5 months ago. That tell you something about his style of videos?

Note: I don't recall details on the initial impression vid and haven't seen the long one yet. I mostly watch things on a rolling 2 week delay since that is what my backlog is currently.

I think I want to try one of these as it sort of looks to me like an evolution of the Manners TCS I've been running for a while now to me.

The MDT and MPA chassis' I've tried have kind of felt cheap to me when compared to the solid feel of the Manners, but the Matterhorn looks like it'd still maintain that solid/homogenous feel I'm used to while letting me keep more options open as far as playing with the grip and weight balance of the rig.

That said, if I get one, the first thing I will be doing is pulling the faux-wood panels off and hitting them with rattle-can flat black... I like the idea of using the G10-style panels to soak up bad vibes from the aluminum frame, but if I wanted that "Grandpa's rifle" look I'd already have a Foundation lol.

The thing is though with these is that I will be knowingly buying something pretty expensive that the market hasn't really seemed to warm up to very much... so if I don't end up liking it, I'll be stuck with it or forced to take a bath selling it which doesn't make me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

IIRC, MDT will let you send any of their chassis back for a refund if you don't end up digging them, I wonder if Zermatt does anything like that..?

ETA: it’s too bad some of these stock/chassis makers don’t offer any demo unit program like snowboard manufacturers do, where you can demo the new models before buying… it’d make it a whole lot easier to try something new without having to go on the hook for ~$2K just to test drive one…
