New to long range and will be working my way out slowly distance wise. Trying to get the right equipment the first time ( if possible). Will be shooting from prone and bench at steel. MPA PMR PRO II, accu-tac fc-4 bipod. What rear bag does everyone suggest to purchase?? Or suggestions if a different for prone versus bench????

For my 30 Cal typically shooting 1000-2500 yards ish, I like my pint size game changer, offers tons of adjustability.
For the 375 shooting 1-2 miles I use a Protektor ELR Brick, with horse mats for large elevation changes and an ABR for fine.

Get an Adjustable Bag Rider for small adjustments and a hard/heavy/no-squeezable rear bag like a Protektor.
When you have to squeeze a rear bag for small adjustments, it introduces error at the shot. Having a hard, supportive rear bag is superior, but doing small adjustments is more problematic. This is where the Adjustable Bag Rider comes in.
This combo beats, hands down, everything else I've tried. Not as practical for closer in shots, but game changing at longer ranges - so much so, that I can't imagine going back to my pre-ABR days for shooting out past a mile.
The ABR adds a little height to the system, so I had Protektor make me a half-height custom bag. This is the image I sent them:

For PRS style of shooting my Son likes his Gamechanger. For most prone or bench shooting we use a bag of my own design. Oval shaped of military canvas. Nice and firm and can rotate as needed for elevation changes. Tough as Hell but kinda manly fuzzy ugly but is best design we've found for our long range shooting.

IMO not versatile enough. Game changer offers at least 4 different height variations that are adjustable via squeezing.
Those plain square/ rectangle bags are probably fine for non dynamic shooting

Anything else I should look at before pulling the trigger on the ABR?
Key elements:
- An ABR obviously adds overall height to the system. This is why I had Protektor make me a half-height bag. I'm now trying to minimize anything that adds to the height.
- Protektor makes a very low rear bag for use with an ABR and similar systems. I tried it and found it did not provide suitable stability for ELR calibers (e.g. high recoil)
- If you're using it for ELR, get the fine threads for finer adjustments.
