I'm guessing an accelerant was used. Allegedly, "several" liquor bottles were found around the woman.

Some clothing fabrics, especially 100% cotton, can go up fairly quickly. But even then, if started by just a BIC, you would think there would be time to react.

Why was she on a walker? I don't believe the 29 y.o. white girl story. When she got up and stood, she had the presence of mind to use the walker and stood there leaning on it while she burned to death, but did nothing to extinguish the flames. It doesn't make any sense to me.

If she were under the influece or passed out when he lit her up then it would make perfect sense.

Right, and probably is the actual story. It doesn't fit the 29 y.o. innocent white grad student story though. I haven't seen anyone else mention the walker yet. Whoever it was was using a walker, and used it to get up and stand while engulfed in flames. It's just a weird reaction. I'm guessing it's an older, non-white, and likely homeless person.
That might explain why they haven't officially released the identity - if they don't know who it is yet.

In all seriousness though, what a messed up situation all around. Burning to death is the last way I wanna go out. I can’t imagine the pain involved, or the shock at finding yourself engulfed in flames out of nowhere, or that nobody’s helping. To have that many people be present and NONE of them do anything to help is something I simply cannot fathom… What a horrible, horrible world we live in anymore. The end can’t come soon enough, IMO.

To me, doesn't matter who the woman was, or where she came from. Ill let others decide if they should or should not care once details trickle out.

But what this horror should universally convey is that the value of life in the US exponentially decays year after year.
