Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

lol, indeed. We had a repair bulletin come out for a convertible to replace some control unit. The only thing was, the R&R instructions for the trunk linings and other associated parts were for the coupe version which was much different. The guy I worked next to at the time(who wasn’t nearly as good as he thought) went to the foreman with a pile of 40A blade fuses and told him to keep replacing them while he looked for where the smoke was coming from. Not kidding…

Holy crap….

I own a Tesla and even I can agree that the Tesla truck seems to be an initial disaster.

I have had coworkers in the past walk up to me and say “ I love how you’re making a difference for the environment.” my response has always been “ I have no idea if this things better for the environment, I bought it because it’s fast and fun to drive.” I immediately get to church lady face, which is ironic when it’s coming from a leftist.

It’s also ironic to me how Biden ends up being the worst possible thing for EV acceptance, when ramming it down people’s throats before it’s ready for prime time fails miserably. (People on the far right hate them because they don’t like being told what to do, and people on the left seemed to really want to think it’s gonna solve all the problems… but the battery technology is not quite there for a one-to-one replacement; though, interestingly, it might not be Tesla that solves the battery problem… It looks like Toyota and NASA are going to get there first with the solid state batteries.)

^^^ Best EV description yet!

And I don’t have any need for a Tesla. … but I love my Tesla stock…

Gonna split again in 25!!!

The car is absolutely fun to drive. Honestly, if you live in a city environment, it’s a way better option than having a gas car.

The issue is when you want to take a trip you need to drive more than 85 miles an hour on average, which means you need to charge the damn car every 275 miles - in order to come close to making up for the lost time due to all of the charging.

Once solid state, batteries become a reality, that problem will be largely solved.

Until then, you’re either buying a hybrid or a classic gasoline powered vehicle, maybe a diesel if you are hauling.

Honestly, I know why your Tesla stock is splitting... those guys have thought the EV thing through, even if uncle sam is fucking it up. They have cradle to grave thinking and are covering all of the bullshit people like to use against EVs: Including that pesky little recycling of the batteries issue.

Musk, et. .al, did a great job separating (mostly) leftists from their cash in order to fund innovation and get us to the desired end state: a practical EV that will have the range of gas powered car. Then he sticks it to the State of Nazifornia when they start screwing with his ability to make them lots of cash in taxes.

Tesla is not about cars... it's about a patent portfolio that makes IBM, Apple and Google look like its's staffed by a bunch of DEI epsilon semi-morons... Oh... wait...

It'll do a two or three way split probably at 600... If the leftists don't play games with it in order to satisfy their Musk Derangement Syndrome...

When SpaceX goes public... I hope the hell I can get in on the IPO!!! Same with NewsMax. That's going to be big! Their viewership and marketing is gutting Fox and others...

it's about a patent portfolio
True of pretty much any tech sector company. For example, when a biotech company is bought out, it is not bought for the talent or the lab equipment- it is bought for the patent portfolio. Some of the employees may be retained, but most will be encouraged to pursue their passion at another enterprise. And, the equipment will mostly be sold- at pennies on the dollar- to lab equipment resellers who then furnish the next crop of hopeful startups.
