Great info and thanks for sharing. Can't argue with those groups!Alrighty so I got my throated 24" 6ARC (benchmark 1:7.5) barrel in from BMP and took it out today. On this barrel I can seat 2.40" to the lands COAL with an 108gr ELD-M and backed off 0.020". Note: this is close to max length that will fit comfortably in e.g. the MDT 6ARC AICS magazine.
Data for the 24" tracks pretty consistent with Hornady book data just about 100fps faster due my LVR lot running hotter (which we discovered last time out with the 20" adventure as well).
What I did find is that pressure signs start showing up around the Hornady advertised max velocities for LVR loads. So definitely adhering to their 24" velocity as a guideline for safe pressure ranges is a good idea.
I expect this barrel to speed up some as I only ran 30 factory foulers which grouped just fine btw for being seated very short in this barrel but obviously they ran a little slow at around 2680fps average, before jumping to the handloads. Loads were on virgin full length sized Alpha brass with CCI BR4 primers and Hogdon LeverEvolution for powder, Hornady 108gr ELD-m bullets, 2.38" COAL through 24" 1:7.5 benchmark throated to have 2.40" COAL to the lands on a 108gr eld-m.
29.2gr of LVR netted 2734fps at an SD of 11, no pressure signs
29.7gr of LVR netted 2791fps at an SD of 11, 1 out of 5 cases showed a very feint mechanical ejector slot mark (origin action)
30.2gr of LVR netted 2841fps at an SD of 7, all cases showed ejector slot marks and cratering on primers
This tracks relatively closely to where Hornady draws their max load line in their book data.
I expect the barrel to speed up some so TL;DR 29.2gr to 29.3gr of LVR out of the 24" should keep me comfortably in safe pressure ranges even on hot days while pushing at least ~2750fps, but again this is all very specific to what is apparently a very hot lot of LVR, as confirmed across two different barrels now.

My barrel came in last week, will have to get it installed and tested soon.
26" criterion from North land shooters supply. Planning to load dev with Staball Match.
