It's positively fantastic . Really enjoy the pistol and am glad that I got it before they 'upgraded' the line with the current model.Looks like mine, hope yours shoots as good as mine
Turned it into this. Off the top of my head, added an ambitious safety, these creative grips, some sort of para ordinance looking trigger, and changed the CS. MUCH prefer the config we have over the 'improved' version.
Yeah, hate the trigger and grips, will stay with my “Vintage” guns ( Valor, Heritage and CBOB).
Got real lucky and scored a LNIB Guncrafter No Name for a song (50% of new cost). I'm still tickled about it.
Had to put some elk antler grips on it, even though it is less of a bling 1911 and more of a working gun.

Lol, probably more like 15. To be honest I can't confirm without getting my calipers out and counting...but it'll put the Springfield TRP to shame

Dang, ok then! Truth be told, as much as I like the Springfield Professional (and TRP for that matter)- I never could warm up to the 20 LPI FSC. I'm more of a 25 LPI type of guy (although the 30 LPI with the LB I posted here is also growing on me & I'm also digging the mainspring housing having vertical checkering)Lol, probably more like 15. 15 LPI... I'd have to spend some time behind it but I have to imagine that'd just tear up my delicate hands.
Jokes aside- that's an absolute beauty that you've got there and I'm glad to see there's a few other 1911 fans that post. I'd absolutely love to add one of those to my collection but it'd likely need to start at 25 LPI for myself.

Good little soldiers all in a row tonight- 4 out of 5 here received an upgrade to factory tritium night sights (you just can't beat them at something like $65 a set), the 5th got my preferred sights (Trijicon HD's). I just need to let them settle until tomorrow so that the thread locker has a chance to set for the front sight posts...

Been a 1911 month for me. I'd been saving for a TRG 22A1, but couldn't rationalize the purchase with so many equivalent rifles already.
Just got notified that my cross cut mammoth ivory grips should be here tomorrow (weather permitting). So I played a bit of 'musical grips' today and put my mammoth bark ivory grips on my Baer.
The cross cut will be going on my Wilson or Ed Brown.
I don't use the 1911 as a defensive tool, because I believe that there are better options these days. However, nothing brings me more pure shooting enjoyment. The recoil impulse of a .45 ACP in one is kind of like shooting a bolt gun in .308 (sans suppressor or brake) to me.
This Baer is in .45. The GI a couple posts above is my first 9mm.

Yeah, that's the 'rug' under my wife's vanity.
It came from a younger 9 point that somehow mistook my walking ass - through a hay meadow and in blaze orange - for a doe. He covered about 200 yards in probably 20 seconds to come check me out as I was walking in from an unsuccessful muzzleloader hunt. It quickly became a successful hunt at about 75 yards. I didn't know if he was going to stop until he fought me or f---ed me.

Factory stag no. The factory grips are just behind the pistol in photo #2.
This is one of many that will eventually get sold when the kids get into college.
