I know it was meant in jest but that is what I am talking about.
@Tokay444
I may have sounded heated in my response. I also do not like socialism. But I also know that my wife is alive because of Medicaid (Texas) and Medicare A & B. And she gets SSA benefits since she is retired. Money she paid in all of her life.
As we all did.
Here is the problem. Just saying to get rid of those things does not bring back the money paid in. Let's pretend that it did.
Immediately one needs to get that into some kind of healthcare program.
Every single person here has needed or will need health care, especially as we get older. It's a simple fact of life that people ignore.
We need to fix HSAs. We need to allow insurance companies to compete across state lines. All the things that make the health care more affordable.
As for "not be so sickly," it just doesn't work that way. My wife always took vitamins. Never smoked cigarettes. Number of times on one hand she even tried a marijuana cigarette (back in the late 70s.) And still has a condition that requires constant medical care.
I love the funny memes and the witty repartee'. I just wish people, when actually complaining, would do something about the problem. If an elected official is not fixing the problem, physically remove him from office and keep trying people out until you get someone who works.
I didn't say it would be easy.
