Never forget justice properly served. 😎

Sometimes you ride through the borderlands. Other times the borderlands come to you. And a person needs to understand that when it is time to play by the laws of the borderlands, you do what you have to do and finish the job.

The scene below is from a Korean organized crime drama called "The K2". Hazizah has been wanting me to watch it with her since we got Zoom connected so we have been watching this past couple of days. The main character Kim Je-Ha signed up with a corporate security company and was sent to Iraq during the peak of GWOT to protect ROK industrial assets there. Little did he know that the "company" he signed up with is actually one of Korea's most brutal mob factions and because he did not fit in quite right, his own superiors made him watch the murder of his beloved Iraqi fiancee in cold blood. And yes he did make every single one of them pay permanently, from there back to his own country, but in the fashion far milder than what men like Josey Wales and Jeremiah Johnson would have done in that same situation.

When you find that there is no recourse except the laws of the borderland, you'd better know that the only cards in your hand are aces and eights. And the only way you are gonna win is by not being at that table, but in the next room with a full view of the players and the element of surprise.

I’m impressed you use the term “rock skis”! We had rock skis in the early winter to start training before the snow was deep enough to set tracks for nordic skiing

Welcome to the CA ski season! At least two sets of skis. One or early/late season (Rock Skis) and one for regular season/snow. This comes from staring before Thanksgiving and ending near Easter. While I still could, we would Backcountry Ski from some snow until it was “are you s#!¥ me?” for snow. Read November to May. No it wasn’t Rockies or East Coast snow, I could be changing conditions/wax hourly. Still, it was a lot of fun.

Lincoln on the right Jefferson straight ahead I think.
Dang it, had to look on the map. Lincoln's at the end of the Arlington Memorial Bridge (so dead ahead), Jefferson's to the south at the 14th St. Bridge. Kennedy Center's north of both at the Roosevelt Bridge.
Now I have to give my pea brain a rest.
