Am looking at A new budget short action and like the looks of the Origin action. What is the quality of these? Will I need to have a bunch of work done to it before I have a barrel put on it to be a shooter? Planning on using a Proof CF in 7mm SAW

I got an Origin LA about two years ago. For the money, they are fantastic. Smooth, swappable bolt faces, CRF, mechanical ejector. They have a lot going for them. Tons of guys chamber prefits for them too.

I bought one last year for a 7mm saw as well. 10lb (scope included) hunting rifle that shoots between 0.5-0.75 moa regularly. A better shooter could make it a regular 0.5 rifle no problem. The action feels just as good, or even better, than the premium actions out there. Less features, but very well manufactured.
Bought one about 5 months ago and works great. DO NOT do anything to the action except screw the barrel into it.
I got a HLR recoil lug and screwed one of my PVA TL3 barrels on to it and it works perfect.
